You Might As Well Know

Never in my life have I been given so much regard by so many as I have from Heavenreaders.

You might as well know that I do not stand out in a crowd.

Except for Heavenletters™, no one takes much notice, not at all. No one.  Often I am not even seen. Is this the same for you?

For instance, when I saw the orthopedist, and he gave me the exercises, he made assumptions and kinda pegged me. He said “Do the exercises three times a day. You have nothing else to do with your time anyway.”

Hmm, I get that sort of thing quite a bit. Has this sort of thing ever happened to you too?

This isn’t all bad, for this is a good lesson for me not to assume anything. I too have made assumptions from a quick glance. I too have dismissed people from my radar because of their appearance or age or anything at all. I too have done my share of not really paying attention to Who someone really is.

I am working on overcoming this because I sure don’t want to overlook anyone again. I want to be done with my preconceptions. I want to come to the place where I naturally honor everyone as God in Heavenletters™ asks us to do.

Just the other day, Hagi from Israel posted a true story on the Heavenletter Spiritual Community Forum about a world-renowned violinist, Joshua Bell, who, as part of an experiment, played incognito at the Metro in Washington, D.C. This was an experiment conducted by the Washington Post. http://www.heavenletters.org/a-violinist-in-the-metro-13810.html

Two days before Joshua Bell  played at the subway, he had performed to a full house at a theater in Boston. The tickets had cost an average of $100. each.

At the subway, people rushed by. No one except for children paid attention to the violinist who was playing one of the most intricate pieces ever written on a violin worth 3.5 million dollars! A few people dropped a coin or dollar to the violinist they assumed was a beggar.

When the violinist finished playing and silence took over, no one noticed. No one applauded, nor was there any recognition. For his time and artistry, the violinist had been thrown a total of $32.00.

The experiment was asking these questions: Do we perceive beauty? Do we stop to appreciate it? Do we recognize talent in an unexpected context? And then, finally, if we missed appreciating the exquisite music at the Metro, what else are we missing?

We are mostly missing each other, it seems to me.

One of the great things about the internet and email is that it’s  easier for us to get to know someone’s heart without anything else getting in the way. I am so glad to know you.

I hope that everyone you meet really knows Who you are and makes sure you know you are seen.

“…the gift is in your thoughts. Without your thoughts, the gift would just stand there. It is not a gift until your thought absorbs its giftedness.
A Human Being standing before you is the same. He or she is not a gift until it clicks into your mind that you have received a gift from Heaven. Then the gift before you comes to life. Then the gift before you comes to light. And you turn the light on.”

This has got to be the best thing ever said about the Internet. What a beautiful entry Senora.
