Yard sale, exercise balls, and consultation with Heaven Admin.
Dear Blogreaders,
With Lauren moving and my going on the road this autumn, Lauren and I are going to have a yard sale. This will be an in-house moving sale.
You won’t believe the stuff we both have. And that is even after numerous trips dropping off things at My Lucky Day and to Houseworks, a consignment store in Iowa City, to say nothing of all that was moved out for the auction so long ago now.
So we will have a yard sale a week from Friday — and on Saturday too. Please come.
One good thing is that Lauren will take my very contemporary red couch, two black round short swivel chairs, and glass coffee table to her studio apartment. My living-room furniture is really urban. Lauren made a grid of her apartment, and everything will fit very well. It makes me happy for Lauren to have the furniture. Who would ever want their mother’s furniture! Only my living-room furniture is tres chic. (My mother’s furniture was French Provincial.)
Meanwhile, I will be without living-room furniture for a couple of months. It will be like camping out, and there is always the floor and pillows. And I have a couple of exercise balance balls. (I just found on Google Search that there are actually chairs to fit the exercise balls into! http://www.isokineticsinc.com/category/ex_ball_chairs?utm_source=Adwords&utm_medium=PPC&utm_sp ) I love the idea!
I actually just heard that there are elementary schools outfitted in exercise balance balls. The children don’t have to sit still. They are happier and learn better. Doesn’t that make sense?
Now I have to get really serious about what I’m taking on the Oneness Journey and what I’m not because I’d better put out at the yard sale what I’m not going to be able to take.
Heaven Admin, if I asked you about everything I want to take, it would take pages and pages. But just a sample here:
Do we have room for two Foo Dogs? They are small ones.
My various desk toys?
Pretty colored paper?
You may just have to say No, No, No!
