Views from Lauren’s Windows

Some of the views from Lauren’s 18th floor apartment in Chicago are breathtaking. I especially love the rooftops!

And this urban shot below is okay too!

Below is a view of Lakeshore Drive. I know which side of the street I want to be driving on at this hour!

Here is a night shot of the above Lakeshore Drive. It’s magical!

Here are two takes of Chicago at night:

Lauren went to one of the Chicago Farmer Markets and found eight varieties of baby potatoes! She even bought some zucchini and roasted the veggies. Yum, yum.

This final picture is an interior view of Lauren’s present furniture: a milk carton serving as a desk, her printer on top of the “desk”, and laptop on top of printer, and an exercise ball as a chair!

Soon the mover will be picking up my red couch, coffee table, two black chairs and delivering them to Lauren, and I will have my turn at sitting on an exercise ball!

I am really loving it here, and don’t think I will ever get tired of the view.

And people here are friendly, and I am finding great service from stores too.

On Saturday night, my airbed, which had been wonderful until then, deflated. Sunday, I walked to a nearby bed store, bought a bed, and it was delivered and set up at no charge two hours later.

It is easy to get things done here.

It’s you who attract the ‘friendly’, dear Lauren. Your love and appreciation of where you are and the people around you is felt and responded to … it’s obvious you are where you want to be in this time.

Beautiful images! Chicago looks amazing in these pics. Now thats a real Zen apartment. We also get those multi-colored baby potatoes here. The lunch menu tomorrow has been set.
