Things That Make Me Happy

What are the little things that make you happy?

I’ve mentioned before, I believe, a few of the little things that give me great happiness, and I thought of a couple of new ones as well.

I am very happy when –

When the weather is such that I can open all the windows.

When there’s no need to have heat on or fans going.

When I can hear birds singing, I’m very happy.

When I can hang clothes outside in the fresh air.

When flowers are blooming.

And what is it about getting trash out for pick-up! What makes this such a supreme pleasure? Truly, a highlight in my week!

Do you feel that way too?

Reading the inspired God Letters every day makes me happy. Even if the sky is grey and rainy (which it often is this time of the year in Seattle), the God Letters bring sunshine into my heart and mind.
Thank you for letting the Light shine!

Beloved Gloria!

What a joy to reflect on happiness! I AM happy basking in the light of the bright shining sun, witnessing the soft sway of the coconut tree, the soft gentle wind, the bright blue sky, the deep green foliage and the peaceful, loving waves of the ocean.

The simple gifts from God on this the Garden Island of Kauai, in the Hawaiian Islands . . .! What a blessing!

Dearest Gloria,
I have mentioned before I live in Paradise. Doors and windows are open all the year round. We live 700 meters above sea level so at night it is cooler than on the coast so all the year round we sleep under a blanket. When we take the dog for a walk first thing in the morning we stop at a tree with fruit what ever is ripe. Breakfast on the terrace summer and winter. I look at the sunshine when I wake up(Mieke my beloved) and breakfast in the rain with sunshine (Mieke) I have my old seafaring binoculars next to me to look at the birds. Yes Happy everyday All day LOVE you All Jack

The true colors of the leaves revealing themselves until the roads are ablaze with color. Whether the sun is shining or it’s cloudy, and even if it’s raining, the trees are beautiful. Now, when the leaves are dropping, I look out my window and it’s like looking at the sky through lace.
