The Mystery of the Lady Who Donated

There was a lady who wanted to donate an exact amount of $865.00 U.S. dollars. She lived in another country. I didn’t know which. There was a company from which she received dividends, and she asked for Heaven’s bank information so this company could send Heaven a bank wire on her behalf. This company would not do Paypal.

This lady lived in another country. I didn’t know which.  This lady told me she could not give me her real name for reasons that I would some day understand.

I will call this lady Jane here.

Since I am someone who can be quite careless about money matters and oblivious to security considerations, my daughter and others have cautioned me not to give out information about my bank account and such. But even without their warnings, my own antenna went up. This was all mighty strange, and, Jane was not subscribed, at least under the email address she had given me. I didn’t know how she had heard of Heavenletters or what prompted her to donate, as it were, out of the blue. What if this were a scam?

Cleverly, I thought — later to my dismay — I wouldn’t give Jane Heaven’s bank information. Now I think, even it were a scam, why would anyone scam Heaven. There was nothing in the bank account to speak of!

But anyway, I asked Jane if she could ask the funding place to mail a check. She said she would find out.

I had the impression that this fund was a trust fund or some kind of investment where she did not quite have the control of it. It was her money, but she was not in charge of it.

I want you to know that this lady was so lovely. She wrote so delicately.   You will see an email of hers in a minute. This was all emailed correspondence, of course. As time went on, my trust and my affection for Jane grew. I felt bad that I hadn’t given her my bank information in the first place.

I must backtrack a little.

You may remember that quite a few years ago, the Princess of Norway had publicly come out as being spiritual. In fact, she had started a school that offered a certificate program in spirituality and she revealed that she herself was clairvoyant, as I remember.  The media gave the Princess a hard time about this. The royal family did too.

At the time, we had a lovely Norwegian translator who had given me links to the news articles about this.  Margaretha found a mailing address for me, and I sent the Princess a Heaven book and CD with what I hope was a wonderful note. I never heard back. Who knows if the package even got into her hands.

Along the way in correspondence with Jane, I increasingly wondered if Jane might be the Royal Princess of Norway. That would explain the secrecy. Who else could it be? I wanted Jane to be the Princess of Norway!

Finally a check did come, mailed from this funding group with a return address from the U.K.  Of course, a royal princess might well have an account in another country, all part of the secrecy.

The unfortunate thing was that the funding group mistakenly made the check  out to “Jane X” herself and not to Heaven. Obviously, the check was meant for Heaven. It was mailed here, only the group had made it out to Jane. I emailed Jane and told her the circumstances.  I asked her for permission to cash the check that was, as it happened, made out to her.

She wrote back that she would ask the funding group.

I should also mention that a month or more would pass before my emails to Jane were answered.  So it was another month or more before I heard back. This was her response:

Hello dear Gloria,

Here is the answer from the company. I will be waiting for the scan.

 Lovely Kindness,

Jane

And here was the company’s response:

~Hi there, thank you for your e-mail.As we can see from our records, the cheque in question was sent to the address you specified with the beneficiary name “HEAVEN”. However, if you insist that this is incorrect, we kindly ask you to provide us with a scan of this cheque.

Now what? What could possibly mess this up?

I did! I COULDN’T FIND THE CHECK! Believe me, I looked everywhere for it.

I wrote back to Jane:

Beloved Jane, I want to assure you that the check was sent to Heaven but that it was made out to you. This was, of course, to my disadvantage. There was nothing for me to gain from saying that.

Much to my dismay, I cannot seem to find that check. What special place I put it in, I don’t know.

Probably the check will show up when I’m not looking for it. When it does, I will scan it for you and then tear it up.

Probably your staff will want to stop payment on it as a business practice.

Jane, when you staff confirms that the missing check has not been cashed, do you prefer that they issue another check? Or would you prefer that I give you what you asked for in the first place and give you my bank information?

What can we do for you, divine lady?

Meanwhile, I will take the liberty of sending you the most recent Heaven News.

Again, apologies for my misplacing your dear check.

With love and blessings,

Gloria

A month or so later, another response, and here’s where you can see for yourself what a lovely person Jane is.

She wrote:

Dear Gloria,

Of course the reliability of what you’ve said about the name on the cheque was never questioned by me, it’s only a matter from the site’s personnel. This company is not mine because if it were I wouldn’t let an attitude like this to pass unnoticed.

Chill out if you can’t find the cheque, sometimes things disappear for the benefit of a major cause. But if you find it, please don’t tear it up until we solve this issue. I will give you my street address as soon as this cash find its way, because it must be feeling lost and I have concern about its feelings too. I do appreciate your trust in offering the option of bank transfer, but first let’s see how the things will evolve. This has already turned into a journey!

Peace, Jane

Do you see how lovely she is?

I wrote back, promptly as always, thanking her for her lovely kindness, asking if she would like to receive Heavenletters etc.

I also felt it must not be so wonderful to be a princess and not be free. I was thinking all this, of course, without really knowing Jane’s identity, but who else could it be who could possibly need such anonymity?

Well, I kept looking, and I never found the check. I did find the envelope the check had come in. Probably I had mistakenly thrown out the check with a bunch of papers when I had, in a rare moment, decided to clear off my desk.

I wrote back again and confessed to this lovely Jane that I was unable to find her check.

Then I never heard back from Jane again. I like to think she is the Princess of Norway. I feel great affection for this lady whoever she may be. She was indeed a lady, and I was enriched by corresponding with her.

I don’t know what made me think of this mystery today.

Now I wonder why I didn’t write back to Jane. I wonder if I could write to her now. But what would I say? I liked her so much. It’s not the money I yearn for. It’s the contact with her.

Is this story really over? Or is there more to come? Will the mystery ever be revealed?

What are your ideas?

Dear Gloria!!! I can understand someone not wanting to use Paypal. I myself had trouble with them and all of a sudden My bank cancelled my visacard and was without it for4 about a week when they reissued another one Paypal was the only one I was dealing with at the time and my bank told me they recieved information that my card was contaminated. So I do not use Paypal anymore. You were going to get back to me regarding me sending you a cheque again. You previously had trouble cashing my cheque In the meantime I had an order of $8750.- reneged on and that is sitting is in freezer storage costing more so when everything is sorted out I will send another one with your name on it Love you Jack
