The Harley

Harley Davidson Red
Isn’t this beautiful? It’s a 1993 Harley that Larry & Carol, my guests from Montana (they sponsored a Godwriting workshop in Great Falls last year) rode all the way to Fairfield, Iowa. Never has a motorcycle been so well cared for. It couldn’t look newer. It’s polished to the nines.

Look below for a photo of Larry & Carol who are authentic bikers.

Then two photos of someone who just poses on a Harley and won’t go for a ride.

Larry & Carol, it was wonderful having you.

Next time — Argentina!

Oh Gloria! No one should get the idea I ride with bare feet. Bare arms aren’t recommended either but I’m not the cautious type. It was a grand ride, we only got soaked through one time. Sure glad we did it in June, the storms and floods now would have made it impossible. You were brave enough to fly with Larry in the Cessna; the Harley is not nearly as scary to me as flying in a small plane. Funny what makes people nervous. Someone brave enough to go to Argentina in a motor home is brave enough for anything! We will fly commercial when we come visit you there.

Love,
Carol

Whoah Senora! Thats one snappy photograph. I’ve got to put on my sunglasses. It’s the smile, I tell yah. It’s brightening up my monitor!

One Love
p.s Am I seeing some well planned fashionable colour combos there or is that coincidence? And don’t think the red lipstick has gone unnoticed!

You mean the close-up with the helmet?

In your observation, did you happen to notice an extra row of teeth in the back there somewhere?!!!!

And, Senor, what color lipstick would you expect!!!

Yes, the color combos on the other photo — of course, my outfit had to match the Harley!

Oh Gloria you are so beautiful. Are you now sold on a motorbike.Next time, try a ship much more comfortable.
Never believe that the sea is dull, every wave or wavelet is different and so many colors you never get bored, but then you are so full of fire you could never be bored. Love you all Jack

Well, that certainly looks like fun! The bike is beautiful, but you outshine it. (DO love the lipstick color.)

I admire your friends for braving the long road trip. I’m a wuss. These days I prefer a bit more of a comfort level … lol …

BUT, might be fun to hang one of those off the back of the bus for some short runs on the way to Argentina!

Dear Gloria ,

You will enjoy your trip to south America,in your mobile home. Mieke and I traveled a lot in one and we sold it last year and now travel in a more comfortable car and stay overnight in motels. It takes us now 2 days to travel to our daughters as before it took 4 days. We are getting a bit older now and like to travel in style. You are young enough to enjoy the beautiful country you travel through. And where ever you are we will still enjoy Gods words through you Happy traveling. Jack

Jack, thank you. That’s so beautiful what you write.

On the motor trip to Argentina, what with giving workshops and enjoying the sights, we may well take three months!

Think of all the material for this blog!

Thanks for all your good words, dear friend.

Love and blessings,

Gloria
