The Arabian Nights

You must know how much I love fairy tales. It so happens that I grew up on the 1001 Tales of the Arabian Nights. Do you remember them? One Thousand and One Nights (Arabic: كتاب ألف ليلة وليلة Kitāb ‘alf layla wa-layla; Persian: هزار و یک شب Hezār-o yek šab) a collection of Middle Eastern and South Asian stories and folk tales compiled in Arabic during the Islamic Golden Age.
Do you remember the framework of the stories? The King takes one bride after another, and, for what reason I don’t remember, he kills each one in the morning after their wedding night — UNTIL Scheherazade becomes his bride. She tells the King intriguing stories which she will not finish until the next night, and so she lives forever and the stories she told live forever as well.
What does this have to do with Heavenletters?
The subscribers to Heavenletters are the most beautiful, interesting, and unique people in the world, and I am so privileged to get to know you! You must know that every single one of you thrills my heart.
Today I would like to feature a twenty-one year old with a remarkable lineage.

Here is some of Her Majesty Nazira’s and my correspondence:
Gloria:
What is your heritage, beloved Nazira? What religion? Please excuse how ignorant I am. I have never heard of Hudojon before.
Nazira:
You are not at all ignorant my love! I am Tajik and was born in Tajikistan and grew up in Dushanbe (the capital of Tajikistan.) Even though I was born in a Muslim country, my parents never pressured our family into religion, although they did always acknowledge Hudojon in the most loving & respectful way. Gloria, the word “Hudo” is used in some Muslim countries and stands for “God” & the word “jon” is used when addressing someone as your soul in the most affectionate and loving way ;-) I call my mom Buva-jon.
Come to think about it, even amidst the Muslim culture & traditions, our family has always been more spiritual and mystical.
I watched your videos. I felt the loving & gentle energy. Heavenletters are truly a gift from Hudojon!!!
Gloria:
Beloved Nazira, you are so utterly beautiful! And young! Sweet heart and sweet face. Beloved, how do you feel about my making a blog entry with your photos and some of your words? May Hudojon bless you always.
Nazira:
My beautiful & heavenly sister, I do not mind at all & would be honored for you to do that.
I want to share with you pictures of my grandfather. It is he whose footsteps I am following & he is also one of my Spirit Guides. He was an original King of “1001 Nights.”

And this is the very blog entry you are reading now that Nazira has blessed us with!
And now I write an added note for this royal lady. By the way, are not royalty the most gracious of all? And does not God say we are all royalty?
Gloria:
Dear Nazira, I have never been to the country of your origin, though I have recently been blessed to visit Istanbul and stay at a Sufi house there. And recently Effendi spent some time here in Fairfield, Iowa, and I have learned a lot about mystical Sufism. And now you have come to Heavenletters bringing more amazement to my life. I am dazed by the wonder of all the blessings that come into my life through Heavenletters and the grace of God.
I am beginning to really accept that everything and everyone are absolutely connected. Long before you were born, I was reading The Arabian Nights, and now you read Heavenletters, and now all those who read this blog will know you. How did this all happen? What are the deeper connections between us all.
When, long ago as a child, I read The Arabian Nights and was so enrapt in them, was that part of our meeting? Had I not read The Arabian Nights, would we, you and I, still be meeting now? How connections exist, I can only wonder. But that connections exist — that is established.
Please tell us more about you and your life by commenting below, where you are living now, what foods do you love to eat, and what do you mean when you say you are following in your grandfather’s footsteps?
Thank you for coming into our lives here and adding such great mystery to our lives. May Hudojon bless you always.
More photos:
The first is at a function Nazira attended. Nazira, perhaps you will tell us who everyone is.

This following photo is of Nazira and her dear friend and soul sister:

This last photo is of Nazira’s grandfather who (read comments below) was a movie star who played the part of the King in The Arabian Nights! He is a fabulous actor! In real life, he was not so crafty!
