In the entry Advanced Computer Intrigue, I wrote about my typical frustration, this time with a virus protection program that comes on at inconvenient times for me and intruded on my other work.

After I had written Advanced Computer Intrigue, I started to feel bad that I had complained, and, in a posted comment to my own blog, I expressed what is wonderful about AVG’s virus protection, of which there is a lot. After all, they have kept all viruses away from the first day.

The very next morning after my public apology and recognition for all AVG has done for me, I got a message from AVG!!!! The first one I ever received!!

Of course, despite the odds that I wasn’t the only one they wrote to, nevertheless, I have to believe in the power of gratitude and appreciation over fault-finding. Goodness knows, God in Heavenletters™ has told us this many many times.

And when I expressed appreciation, I got a response the very next day! No matter when it was scheduled, I received a response the very next day! This is uncanny!

The message was about an upgrade. Included in the boxes I could check was one that said Full-power or Reduced Power. I didn’t copy down the words, but it also said something like this: “The lower power doesn’t take the energy the full power option does.�  As I understand it, they were offering me an option to have AVG running without my computer being slowed down.

I will know better tomorrow how this works. But, no matter what, I am grateful to AVG for responding to what I expressed on this blog. Of course, they didn’t read the blog. They probably don’t know I have one! But, look, how responsive they were.
