Security in Amsterdam

Amsterdam takes security very seriously. Not only does your luggage go through scrutiny, you do! There is a most polite and charming gentleman in uniform who interviews you. You don’t mind at all. It is a pleasant experience. My examiner was so nice I wouldn’t have minded his taking longer. I mean, you don’t often find someone so interested in you and what you’ve been doing!

Q. Who helped you pack?

A. Just me.

Q. No one gave you anything?

A. Oh, yes, some gifts.

Q. Why did they give you gifts?

A. To give gifts. I gave gifts too.

Q. What gifts did you receive?

A. (I had to think.) A wooden icon. Walnuts.

Q. What about that medal you’re wearing around your neck?

A. I forgot about that! Veronika gave it to me.

Q. What is the meaning of the design?

A. I don’t remember, but Veronika designed it herself.

Q. Did you know the people you visited very well?

A. Yes, but only over the internet. We’ve been emailing for a couple of years.

Q. You were just visiting?

A. I also met with publishers. I have a book translated into Greek, German, and Romanian. I also gave workshops.

Q. You are a teacher?

A. Yes.

Q. What kind of workshops?

A. Godwriting™ workshops.

Q. You write letters to God?

A. Yes.

Q. I think God doesn’t have time to read them.

A. Oh, yes, He does! God even has time to answer them!

Then the nice uniformed examiner waved me on.

Most funny! What reminds me to my last experience I had in US. I was flying to San Franscisco to drive down to Silikon Valley to do some business. So I went there and checked into the hotel. As I am a smoker I ordered a smokers room. Guess what? At the entrance of this special area there was a wording that you enter now a special place which might be toxicated with deadly chemical poisens. So I thought…… uhhh…..

entering the room I found myself just in front of the mainstreet. Cars driving there all day long. This must be the explanation why this is so a dangerous area!

Anyhow, the next stop was San Franzisco Airport again. Going to Huston Texas. I was travelling with small luggage. Just a backpack with some closes and my little laptop. Checking in I put the thing in the examination thing and then suddenly…… ikkkkkkkk!

A notebook! And I said, yes, is this so unusual? And I was told, that it is mandatory to put notebooks seperate cause they are subject to be potential bombs. Anyhow, the lady sacanning the stuff was obvios new and the advicor then explained to here, how to tread this things. They asked me to take out the notebook of the backpack and then they treated it like a egg. Careful, very careful, they gave it some examination with a white some kind of handkerchief. And put it in some analyser to see, if there are explosives in it.

What a deep breath seeing that there are none. Phuuuu…..

But wasn’t the end of it.

Sitting in the take off area a security officer came to me and said, I am elected for a special treatment. I said, I already passed the sucurity check and he answered, for the security of all of us we are doing special checks regular. So I said, ok, what’s next?

First thing, that I was weighted. So I needed to step on a weighing machine. Next was to give them my shoes. My jacked was examined deeply and I needed to take of my belt. They had much interest in my underwaer I was carrying in my backpack and finally after I was standing there in my own underwear they finally desided that I am not a thread to the rest of the world.

Phuuu….. good luck….. :)

I got the flight to Houston.

Oh, Gloria, this is very funny and very sweet, too. I just saw the movie “Harold and Maude” for the first time and, though sad too, it is also very funny sometimes and very sweet. I am sure you have seen this movie and know what I mean–two different worlds meeting each other! I give God thanks for the world of kindness and sweetness, love and beauty, that you share and that we all glimpse through Heavenletters. Much love to you, dear one.

I think it is pretty sad that people think that God does not have time to listen to them. So beautiful that you remind us this is not so. I think you touched his heart deeply, though he did not let on.

Adrachin, that is so funny! You really got singled out for special treatment! It’s worth it just for the story, I think!

Margaret, I am very familiar with Harold and Maude, the book! When I taught school, I used some of it in classes to motivate writing. There is a scene in a field of daisies in which Maude asks Harold what flower he would like to be. I don’t remember now what he said but I would give that assignment in my classes, What Flower Would You Like to Be and why, and their responses were beautiful.

I would always do the assignments I gave my classes, and I found that the flower I wanted to be changed, and, in the writing, revealed another facet of myself.

Glenna, it was good for me to hear another point of view! Nevertheless, I didn’t take the interrogator too seriously. I wonder if he ever told anyone afterwards about the person who teaches people to ask God questions and receive answers!

Both of you made me laugh! Dear Adrachin, I’m glad that having been left only in underwear you were no longer a thread to the world!! Could just be that a special/different person like you are did arouse some suspisions…
Gloria, I too think that you touched this man deeply and that he didn’t show! Lovely interview, really… “Why did they give you gifts?”, it made me smile!
a dear hug to all!

I am proofing HL 2078 right now and there is a phrase that is so wonderful. God says: “there is you, mirth in my heart.” Santhan and Gloria, you are indeed mirth in the heart of God–and isn’t it wonder full to share in that? That HL, coincidentally, is about being the same person wherever you are and specifically refers to being in airports, being the same you even when people have no idea who you are; there is mirth in my heart to be reading this right after the exchanges this morning on the Blog. Thank you, God, Gloria, and Santhan, for the mirth in my heart today. Love, Margaret

Well Gloria, you probably made his day. He went home & told his family “you won’t believe what someone told me today!”

dear ones

as Gloria was asked for the pendant
and you can see both sides of it

may I tell you a bit of it

the pendant is made in the heart chakra of our Earth
in Rajastan

designed while God guided my hands
as my hands are guided when I stitch the quilts

made with love by the silversmith
every one made by hand

it is a silverplate with a bit gold in it

the stones are quarz and rosequarz

as this in combination with silver and gold
stands for the whole spectrum of frequencies

the other side is a symbol for the balanced human

both sides together are based on the star of christ

this is a veryy powerful pendant
- it is called KOSMIC SUN -

builds up a direct connection to our Source
builds up a shield of light
and supports healing of body mind and soul

and - of course - it is an “eye-catcher”

love peace and joy

Dearest Veronika,

Where is Rajastan?

Wouldn’t it have been nice if I had remembered all this and could have given this answer to the security man in Amsterdam!

Thank you again for this beautiful pendant.

With love and blessings,

Gloria

Dearest Gloria,

I didn’t know they are so strict at Amsterdam Airport. Yes, Amsterdam is a lovely place, it has energy. You are always welcome. We live near Amsterdam.

Love,
Claire

I wonder, Claire, if they still are going to such lengths to interview people from other countries. I had a wonderful time. I could have happily answered this gentleman’s questions for hours!

Reply from Luus on August 11, 2011

Nice to meet you here, Claire.
Yes, Gloria and Santhan, please come again.
I remember that you were in Europe two years ago and wonder whether that was your second tour through Europe.
Next time I will organize the Godwriting Workshop here in Amsterdam. Should not be a problem.
