Dear Friends,

During the move, angel after angel appeared. I can’t wait to tell you all about it.

To give you a quick update now, I am living in new place. I have a room in a mansion on the first floor, and Heaven Admin has a room on the second floor, and I love it! Will do a blog with details and photos all about everything and everybody as soon as I can.

703 East Burlington is where Godwriting™ started and where my whole life took on a new hue. Now I am living on West Burlington. Both east and west are wonderful!

I like living in one room! Of course, there is the rest of the house, the fantastic owner and two other people in transition that the owner, out of the goodness of his heart, is also letting stay here. All part of the fun.

I don’t have an internet connection as yet. A Hy-Vee supermarket is nearby, and I can go over there to use their wireless. However, I am unable to send from my regular email program. I have to use a browser program, and that has its frustrations.

To give you just one example:

Gmail is almost impossible for me to get into. Without exaggeration, I spent 25 tearful minutes trying to log in. You know the letters some programs give that you have to copy down to prove you’re not spam? Gmail uses very odd lettering. I simply can’t figure out what some of the letters are, or even if one letter is one or two in some cases. There are a few words I’m sure I’ve got right, however, but, no, the program doesn’t think so and makes me do it again and again and again.

Not only that, the cursor does not go by itself to the place where I am supposed to type in the non-word. So, time after time, I added my response to the password, wrecking the password which had not been an easy thing to manage in the first place either.

Then when I am finally in at Gmail, I have to add email addresses, and Gmail does not give me the formatting I like etc. Many stumbling blocks for a Godwriter™ like me. I do not know why some things that are a breeze for other people are so hard for me.

I will be so grateful if everyone will please post on the blog rather than email. It sure will make my life easier. I will read every post, as I always do, and then I can answer right away on the blog and not have to transfer so much information in order to reply. You will be saving me from a big hassle.

I have a post office box now, so here’s Heaven’s new mailing address:

With love and blessings,

Gloria

Ah, so nice to have this update, dear Gloria. How gracefully you have adapted to liking living in one room, after all the work of letting go of so many possessions! I am thinking that mastering the challenges of using g-mail will prove very useful in the future when you are on the journey to Argentina, and maybe even after you are there. One important purpose of computers, you know, is to help us learn patience, and that includes patience with ourselves as well as with computers. :) Loving you, Margaret

Well, dear Margaret, to like where I am living now takes no effort! I simply like where I am. Incredibly, I don’t miss the other place! It simply must have been time for me to move.

It does not, however, seem to be the right time for me to learn patience! Of course, I didn’t learn to like this new place. I simply find I like it!

Do you think it might ever be like that with patience?!!! One day I wake up, and I am patient?

Heaven Admin is a remarkable example of patience. He never gets ruffled, impatient, etc. He is calm always.
Even when he would be making his fiftieth trip of carrying heavy boxes etc. he walked like a King or a Rajah without a care in the world. You might think he was on his way up an aisle to receive a Nobel Prize.

The other side of this is that Heaven Admin has great enthusiasm. For instance, he discovered some great old vacuum cleaners here and marvels over them. It may be that the opposite of impatience is enthusiasm! Now he is enthusiastically vacuuming the whole place.

Thanks so much for posting, dear Margaret!

Dear Gloria,
Hello, dear Godfriend.
Hope you’ve been getting some rest following your moving marathon.
Sure hope things went well on your last moving day back on Tuesday. Wonder if you had any moving services or other help with orchestrating things.

Our move took 9 days!
The Professional Movers came on a Sat and hauled off the heavy items, furnishings, etc.
I did an all nighter the night before they came to prepare for it….had to do a couple all nighters to pull it off.

Charlie rented a U Haul truck for several days as I continued to clear & pack up the rest that he loaded up and delivered.
I hired cleaning services at the end to help me leave the house in excellent shape.

The move was an ordeal, heat wave weather too, AC was not working and none in my car when bringing loads over at 2 & 3 in the morning. Had some great incentives to live light as can be.
We did let go of things left & right with our move to this smaller home half the size of the last house. No storage area inside or out with this new abode. Light & free all the way. :-)

Been thinking of you, was so nice to hear your voice, thanks for the call. Hope you’re beginning to get a little settled each day, enjoying some comfort and ease.
Take good care.
Love to you,
Ginger
