One of the most mixed-up amazing days of my life
It was a whirlwind day. That was yesterday, Tuesday, September 7.
Of course, it is amazing to me that every day begins with the dawning of a Heavenletter. I will never get over this. Every day I am amazed.
As if that is not enough to dazzle my day, an email came from a lady in another country who wants to support the proposed spiritual center in Capilla del Monte with a donation or investment of $40,000 dollars she has been holding from the sale of a property!!! Forty thousand dollars!!! She has been wanting to give it to a good cause.
How could I focus after that?
Then Tom, a gentleman I know from the Sufi House here in Fairfield, unexpectedly came over to where I’m living with the message that Effendi, the Sufi teacher, who has just returned to Fairfield after a year or more, has been asking where I am and wants to see me. Wowee!
Tom also told me that Effendi was planning on coming over to where I live to make sure that I am comfortable here!
Heaven Admin always knocked himself out making life comfortable for me, and then he had to leave Fairfield because of his visa, and now Effendi appears. Isn’t it mind-boggling and heart-stopping?
Heaven Admin is simply generous and giving to everyone. He singles everyone out with his giving nature. And Effendi is the same. They both love, they give, and everyone is the object of their love. They make themselves responsible for everyone on Earth. They have the shoulders for it. They make everyone feel especially loved, just the way God in Heavenletters™ does.
Of course, when I heard that Effendi was going to come over, I thought of all the tidying and vacuuming I’d better do, and I’m still thinking of it.
I had some other miracles yesterday as well.
My internet has been saying “not connected.” There are red x’s all over the place. When I go to the wireless connection page, it says unconnected. Somehow I had the impulse to try connecting anyway, and, wonder of wonders, I am connected to the internet! I am connected to the internet. It is working. It is working perfectly. Who can explain this? This is one computer lie that I like a lot.
Heaven Admin and I had a Skype phone call business meeting scheduled. We were all set, except my sound wasn’t working. No sound at all. I must confess that at first I had forgotten my speakers were turned off. Nevertheless, turned on, the speakers still didn’t make a sound. I had the unwelcome thought that, if my sound would work, my internet might go down.
After we hung up, I fiddled with wires. My sound now seems to be working better than ever. I will test it on Skype with someone local, and then set up another appointment with Heaven Admin.
The day yesterday had many interruptions and false leads, and I never got to have a meal! At about 5, I walked over to Hy-Vee, bought some Romaine lettuce for a salad, some Newman’s Own Organic Alphabet Cinnamon Graham Cookies so I’d have something to serve Effendi whenever he came. And then, at Hy-Vee, I bumped into Ali, another friend from the Sufi House. “Effendi’s been asking for you,” Ali said.
Ali does not take no for an answer. He came back for me at 7 o’clock. He practically kidnapped me. He and his delightful girlfriend, Lucy, drove me over to Effendi’s house. We all sat at the kitchen table — Ali. Lucy, Effendi’s beautiful wife and daughter, Sule, Ron and Ardawan (sp.) Effendi made sure I sat next to him. We were all sitting in a circle of love. I don’t know any other way to say it.
And then Effendi invited me for supper tonight.
What happened to ordinary days? Does anyone have them?
