No, Senora, No

Dear Heaven Admin,

As you will see, I am dividing items to take along on the Oneness Journey into three categories.

1. Items of divers kinds we will definitely want to take with us. I believe you will nod your head yes for these. How many or how much to take may be a different question.

2. Items that are possibilities, though I may be dreaming! I see I have perhaps too many in the category that we will definitely want to take. Hmm, we may not be able to take them all if we also are going on the trip.

3. Items I am quite sure will not travel with us.

 1. The Pretty Sure Yes Category

Silverware
Dishes
Glasses, mugs
Pots and pans
Baking tins
Pie plate
Wooden spoons and various utensils
Blender, coffee grinder
French Immersion Coffee Pot (or do you have that sock you use?)
Herbs and other food supplies
Jars and starter for making kombucha, milk kefir, and water kefir.
Bedding, blankets, towels, dish towels
Hand soap, dishwashing detergent, bleach
Heaven books and CD’s and other workshop materials
Laptop, ergonomic keyboard. I have a separate monitor as well.
Books to be determined.

Necessary clothing - Jack suggested only three changes of clothes, one to wear, one to wash, one to dry.  The thing is: I need ordinary clothes to wear AND ALSO good clothes for workshops. In addition, I will be traveling winter and summer, so a little mercy here, por favor.

Shoes, boots
Hanging crystals, dream catcher, mobiles – one of dolphins, Senor!

2. Items that could go either way (although I do have my suspicions)

Heaven Admin, be assured that I am prepared for you to say, “No, Senora, no,” as required, and I will accept your verdict without a murmur. I am practicing.

Wooden bowls – I have wooden bowls of all sizes, from enormous to tiny. You might say I have collected them.  Hmm, I may have to move wooden bowls to the Absolutely No category.

3. Items I am positive you will say, “Sorry, no, querida.”

Napkin rings
100 candles
A collection of angels – There was a short period of time when I dreamed of opening an angel store!

Hmm, I am surprised to discover that the first category is the biggest of all!

With love and blessings,
Gloria

Eh, from the first list I can see many things that we may just have to move to the 3rd list. Why do I feel like this donkey..

Just so you know, I can never say no to you, however silence does not always mean consent. So if you see me looking at your loot all squiggly eyed and silent, it could mean the item must be relegated to the 3rd list.

How did you ever find such a picture?!!!

Please tell me what is in the first list that needs to be moved to the third list. It would be a favor for you to tell me. It will be much better for me to know than to guess.

I know. Just tell me from the first list what you think we will be able to take! Tell me what is yes, and then you will never have to say no!

Two Ideas

1. Swap category numbers.

2. Make a tombola of everything that is  n o t  absolutely essential (herbs are, of course). Write each dispensable item on a slip of paper (but don’t just write “mugs” or “various utensils”, make it specific). Draw 10 or maybe 15 of those tickets. If you find yorself slightly diappointed at one item or the other, throw away it’s ticket, strike it from your list and draw a new ticket. You will end up with everything that is really dear to you and useful – and Heaven Motorhome Admin will probably say there is much more storage space….

But by all means, take you angels. You will need something to sell in your new angel store in Capilla.

I noticed how you casually left shoes and boots towards the end of the list without any mention of the number of pairs. Mmmm. The divine one who played my mother taught me well about getting between a woman and her clothes and shoes, so I will leave those decisions with you. When you are in the act of packing the shoes and clothes, just imagine me standing there quietly and watching. It will help.

Now for the rest of the stuff in the list, take all of each kind, only reduce the numbers of each kind. Instead of wooden spoons, take 1 or 2. We don’t require glasses. 1 drinking container per person is more than enough. The idea is to take multi-functional items. Lets say there are many many knives for food preparation. We can reduce that to one good chefs knife.

Enjoyment and fun takes priority over practicality. I’m convinced that the two can work hand in hand though. Practical enjoyment! This is already fun!

p.s We don’t require the coffee plunger! My old socks are much better.

Comments from the Mom while reading all of your comments:

“One knife???! What if we both need to chop at the same time???”

“I have to bring all of my spoons.”

“And my crystals. I have to bring my crystals.”

“And my fish mobiles. We definitely need fish mobiles.”

“One knife???”

Lauren! It’s unfair for you to post this! Whether it’s true or not is beside the point! :)

Clothing good and ordenary???? do the people coming to your workshop care what you wear? would ordenary clothing give a more relaxed admosphere? Yes I saw the Donky before and it is quite appropiate. whatever a woman takes on holydays or other travel half of the suitcase is never ever used and I traveled with my beloved Mieke for 52 years. so do not tell me that a man does not know. ONE try to say “” N O “” you will both have a more relaxed and lovely voyage Love Jack

Perhaps a viewing of an old, old movie would help here. I believe this is the movie that inspired the I Love Lucy series — it’s name is The Long, Long Trailer. Very funny …
