New Godwriters meet again and soar
Dear Godwriters,
My camera is working now, and I forgot to take pictures of everyone at the Come Play with Me Continuing Ed workshop on Saturday. Sylvia was still here when I remembered so I have a photo of Sylvia munching on one of the chips that Ginger brought, but now I don’t remember how to get the photo up. I’ll ask Kirt if he will do it, so come back.
Charley, we didn’t expect you to drive from Michigan, and we thank you for the emails you sent to Laura for all of us. They were inspiring. The meeting would have been less without your notes and, therefore, your presence.Charley, you wrote you don’t know what merit we would find in your writing, but what you write uplifts and nourishes us all. You Godwrite every single morning, and knowing that is strengthening alone. Will you post the emails you sent to Laura? How many people might be drawn to learning to Godwrite by virtue of what you write?
By the way, Charlie, my personal Godwriting is mostly simple checking in with God too.
Jacqueline, welcome back! I will always remember what God told you about letting go of the ideas of might and right. As I think about it, might and right are such judgments. And how much have right and might influenced us – me anyway.
What else stays with me about yesterday’s meeting was the laughter. Didn’t we laugh a lot? And there were some equally wonderful tears as well.
Thank you, Sylvia, for baking for us! The blueberry cake was delicious – and those moist succulent delicious Medjol dates you brought. Ginger, thanks for the tortilla chips and the amazing mixed nuts you prepare from scratch. They are your signature product. Heaven Admin loved the blueberry cake, the dates, the chips, and the mixed nuts. He nibbled on them throughout the evening. And, Heaven Admin, thank you for the delicious dip you made for us before you went rock-climbing.
Jacqueline, thank you for the daffodils. They sit on the mantel in my office now. They are opening up beautifully, and there are three yellow balloons nearby too. Yellow is becoming my favorite color.
By popular demand, we’re meeting again Saturday, May 1, 2-4:30. Ginger graciously agreed to remind us.
I asked Laura to bring in some of her new art. Sylvia will probably be a first-time grandmother by May 1. I asked her to bring her grandbaby, but I don’t think she took me seriously.
On the blog, under this entry, would be a good place for you to post your impressions of Saturday’s splendid continuing ed workshop. I look forward to more from you, dear Godwriters.
With love and blessings,
Gloria
