Miscellaneous Update

Today we shall cover the following:

1. Lauren’s possible job in Chicago.

2. Xena’s name change.

3. How they’re doing on the work on the street out front.

So far Lauren has not heard back from that super employer nor has the super employer opened Lauren’s email. Not even opened it! Oh, please, let this not be one of those things that is too good to be true.

Meanwhile, Lauren saw a similar ad on Craig’s List only it required that you type 70 wpm  and other seemingly insignificant details like that.  Hmm.

So Lauren wrote a follow-up note saying she will be in Chicago next week for interviewing, and that’s as far as she can go. Unless she hears back soon, that’s the end of that. Another balloon burst.

Xena is Tikva now, and she doesn’t seem to mind or notice. But to me she will always be Xena McBeana. When she comes over, my heart is sad and happy at the same time. I always know with certainty that an angel has come to visit.

Well, about the street construction. We get a respite every now and then. They start very early in the morning — or they are going all night. They are not always right in front of where I live.

The worst has been the jackhammers and that bell that goes off when some equipment backs up.  That seems to be over. This morning there is some big equipment at play.

This morning the workmen had a radio playing very loudly! I heard the news. That is I picked up a word here and there — stock market, economy. You know the general sound that news makes. I heard some advertising, and I heard some loud country music. All this was going on as I did my morning Godwriting. You see, it’s true. You don’t need quiet to Godwrite!

One more thing I will mention is how amazing it is to be connected to the internet and have the world at our fingertips.

And how was your morning?
