Life in the Relative World

Every entry in this blog could be called Life Is Amazing, for amazing can mean many things.

Let me bring you up to date on what’s been happening in my life.

My long-time dear friend, Nancy, from Pennsylvania recently visited here. Nancy has sponsored two Godwritingâ„¢ workshops in Reading, and she is good at it.

Nancy and I met in Flaine, France, about thirty years ago. Ouch, can it be that long ago? Interestingly, I also met Margaret who proofs for Heavenletters in Flaine at the same time, and both Nancy and Margaret continue to be two of my dearest friends.

For those of you who are familiar with the story of Diane and Molly – Paula has translated the story into Italian – and Berit translated it into German – (Molly was three years old when she died) — well, Diane is married to Nancy’s brother so Diane and Nancy are sisters-in-law, and Nancy was Molly’s aunt, of course. It is because of Nancy that I was blessed to meet Molly and her mother, Diane.

Isn’t it amazing how intricately the threads of life are woven together?

On this visit, Nancy discovered poison ivy in my yard. How many years has the poison ivy been in my yard, and I had no idea, and didn’t come down with it. I must have walked past it a hundred times and probably touched it etc. But the day Nancy was leaving, she pointed the poison ivy plants out to me, and then I was no longer innocent.

That very day, I became impossibly itchy.

The next day poison ivy came into full bloom all over my face and neck, and my right eye was so swollen it looked like a water balloon. I was not very pretty. Fortunately, no one was around to take my picture.

If Nancy hadn’t told me about the poison ivy, I am convinced I wouldn’t have come down with it!

One more outstanding incident about Nancy’s visit. When Nancy was about thirty miles or so out of town on her way back to Pennsylvania, she saw a school bus that had been converted into a motor home with a big FOR SALE sign on it!

Wouldn’t I love to tell you that this is the perfect motor home for us, and wouldn’t that make a great story — Nancy comes out from Pennsylvania and locates the perfect motor home for the trip to Argentina! That would be fabulous!

I have the owner’s phone number, but every time I call, I get a busy signal or no answer. I’ll keep trying, so I just don’t know the outcome though I expect this is not our motor home. When things work out, usually it is easier than this.

In a week, another friend is coming to visit. This is Sandra. Sandra and I taught across the hall from each other at Kiley Junior High School in Springfield, Mass. In the three minutes between classes, we got to know each other very well. I stood up for Sandra when she and David married. She has known my daughter, Lauren, since Lauren was five years old in kindergarten. I love it when friends stay connected.

Incidentally, I think Paula also translated the story of Sandra and David into Italian. We’ll have to think of a way to get the complete stories of Diane and Molly and Sandra and David up in English somewhere. These stories are a series of questions each asked God, and God’s answers. The beautiful thing is that you see Diane and Sandra grow before your very eyes through God’s love and wisdom. These are two dynamite stories.

Meanwhile, there is a surprising connection that happened at the Farmer’s Market this morning, the kind of thing that you could never make up. In this case, it’s not anything you would want to have happen. This will have to wait for another entry.

I agree with Jack! What happened??? Inquiring minds want to know!

Oh, in the hopes that MiAng reads this thread soon, welcome! Your posts are translating quite well, I think. Your message is very clear, and I look forward to reading more of your insights.

“Isn’t it amazing how intricately the threads of life are woven together?”
Indeed dear Glorial, it’s amazing! There’s a perfect picture behind and when our view gets a larger horizon we stay in awe.

I have appreciated very much this “overview” for it’s very interesting. I don’t know anything about Sandra and David and I would love to read them, are still available on this new Heavensite?

I agree perfectly to the poison ivy, I mean it did hurt you when you knew about it, this is really amazing!!! It should give make us ponder and think of how important our mental attitude is!

The motor home is interesting too dear, for I agree that things that are to be, for me, most of the time they go very smoothly, they happen by miracle. When there are problems it could not be the right thing. Have you asked God about this motor home dear Gloria, I mean have you asked Him if this special motor home is ok for you and what you propose to do?

Gloria Angel, how could you possibly stop at highest suspense and not tell us about the Farmer’s market ?????
We seem to be near the solution of a mystery and you just tell us sweetly: “This will have to wait for another entry” !!!!!!

Pls, pls, pls, tell us asap !! Many thanks dear!!
a dear hug to all
Love
Berit

How could I stop at highest suspense, dear Jack, Pam, and Berit?

I did it on purpose! (also was running out of time!)
You have heard of Scherazade, haven’t you?

Re asking God about this particular motor home, it is not at a point to ask Him. I am not in a quandary. This motor home is not uppermost on my mind. Do you know what I mean? We’re just at the finding out about stage. We don’t know if this motor home is diesel, what condition it is in, etc. I kinda think life takes care of these things.

Although what God said in my personal Godwriting this morning was not concerning a motor home, I think it fits:

“Have I not told you to follow your heart? You cannot go where your heart does not take you. It’s that simple, beloved. When your heart is in it, you can climb a mountain. When your heart isn’t in it, you don’t find the energy to even squeeze a lemon.”

God makes things so simple!

Dear Gloria,
thank you for this reminder. Actually I don’t remember translating the story of Sandra and David. Could you please send me a copy of it, so I can get on with it?

With love,
Paula

Cara Paula, did you translate a story called Veronica and Franklin? Do I remember correctly?

At the beginning, Sandra — the real Veronica — was hesitant to use her real name. Later she was fine with it. It feels so much better to use her real name.

A thousand blessings to you, Paula.

Of course, now it’s clear. It’s the series of the Woman who wouldn’t talk to God - La donna che non volle parlare con Dio. It’s somewhere on the forum.
By the way,
“When your heart is in it, you can climb a mountain. When your heart isn’t in it, you don’t find the energy to even squeeze a lemon,” is a good rule to go by.
Blessings to you, Gloria.

Last summer when Randy and I were at the farmer’s market in Fairfield we saw four dogs in a parked van. Two in the front seat and two in the back seat. They were all staring straight ahead and looked just like a mother, father, and two kids on an outing. It was hilarious. We took a photo. So I’m wondering if the dog family has been out causing havoc in the park. Can’t wait to hear the farmer’s market mystery. Love, Sally

CAn you post the photo, Sally? I know it can be done on the forum.

No, I wish the incident at the Farmer’s Market could have been about this beautiful dog family.

My story includes a beautiful lady and something that happened that nobody would want. At the same time, what happened was minor. It can even be considered fortunate.

Berit, I was too lazy to squeeze a lemon yesterday!

Sally dear, I’d love to have a look at this wonderful foto!!
Since I had my last holiday on Christmas I feel more or less like a squezzed lemon, so dear Gloria, it’s ok if you leave them alone, they are my brothers and sister by now!!

Hello Gloria,

My mom was showing me some things on your website and I really enjoy your writings!

I’m glad that you have stayed friends with her (Sandra) after all these years.

Enjoy the visit!

Andrew

Do you have any idea how it fills my heart to hear from you, Andrew, and here on the blog in public before God and everyone! I sure love you for it.

Andrew, you will be happy to hear that I knew you when you were the most beautiful baby boy! Your mom has continued to tell me great things about you.

Your mom has been a great friend to me. She was my only close girlfriend at Kiley. Her friendship means a lot to me.

What will persuade Sandra to post?

With love and blessings,

Gloria

Lots of Love

Dear Doolin, the story is very long. Santhan is traveling to South Africa. When he’s in communication again, we can figure out where to put it. Maybe with Ask God Your Personal Question on the web site. I believe the story of Diane and Molly was a good 10,000 words. Sandra’s was a little shorter. Maybe they can be ebooks. Hang on. We’ll figure out something.

Nice to see you posting again, dear Doolin.

My Dear Gloria, I didn’t know that Sandra and David’s story is such a long one !!

Sorry I have not been posting for a while, It seems that I am hardly in one place for any lenght of time and not always having a computer available presents a small problem, but I enjoy getting absorbed in whatever is going on where I am and it feels good to be able to do that !!

Please get another story going, It is so nice to read and we have such fertile imaginations, the postings could be really exciting and of course, it helps us to get some Godwwwwwwriting practice too !!!

Hope Santhan, enjoys his trip to South Africa !

God Bless all at Heavenletters and those who read heavenletters too……..

We have missed you, dear Doolin, and really appreciate it when you do post!

Soon we will have some shorter stories, where people asked God their questions, got powerful answers, and then rose to the occasion. I am bowled over by the sweetness of the people who ask God their heartfelt questions and accept God’s answers. And Sandra’s will go up as soon as we figure just what to do with it.

And there’s more other good stuff coming up too!
