Lauren’s Interview

Okay, Lauren had an appointment to meet with Phenomenal Boss yesterday at 4 p.m. She had sent an email confirming the date and time.

She drove to Chicago which is five to six hours away a day earlier than she had originally planned. She was dressed for success on a very hot muggy day. She found his beautiful home where his office is, and there really was street parking available. She arrived in perfect time.

The only thing is: Phenomenal Boss thought their appointment was next Tuesday!

When Lauren arrived, Phenomenal Boss (P.B.) was interviewing someone else. He squeezed Lauren in. It was hectic. His phone was ringing nonstop. The conditions for an ideal interview were not there.

Lauren knows she likes P.B. very much.  She knows he needs someone good. She knows she would really take a lot off his shoulders. She knows working with him would be a piece of cake.

You’ve got to know that Lauren has worked for corporate America. She has had high-pressured jobs.  She loves the idea of working in a small office where she is responsible for only what she herself does.  She also loves that the P.B. is a philanthropist who is doing great things for people, and that she would be part of something that goes beyond making a profit.

Lauren has been Director of Human Resources, Director of Operations, Director of Billing Services, Director of Product Development,  and Marketing Director.

Okay, so, I’m a proud mother.  Here are some highlights of Lauren’s dynamic management experience:

Well if the P.B. does not call her back, he is the loser.
