I saw a deer in my front yard

I was Godwriting, and from my window I saw a deer in my front yard.

At first, I thought it was a big dog, maybe even Xena. When I realized it was a deer, I felt sad. It was a hungry deer. And it isn’t winter yet.

And does this deer, all by himself, know to be careful of cars? My street is not a busy thoroughfare any longer, but it’s not exactly a side street either.

The deer munched on some dangling magnolia leaves, and he tried to find something on the ground to eat. I hope he finds the compost I have strewn around.

It doesn’t seem right that even one creature of God’s should ever be hungry and not have enough food to eat.

If I go outside, I will scare him. But later I will put more compost out front.

Why did I look up at the exact moment the deer was where I could see him? What is the deer’s message? What is he a symbol of? What am I to learn from this lone visitor to my front yard?

Beautiful… What does a deer mean to you Beloved Gloria? It doesn’t matter what anyone else says it symbolizes, only what it means to you.

Blessings,

Gloria,
If the feeling you had was that this deer was hungry - then God made sure the deer came to the right place, didn’t he?
Perhaps the deer looked into your eyes and communicated the thought of thanking you for providing a safe haven, and some food.
In light,
