I remember walking to the store all alone and playing in the streets without fear.
I remember staying outside all day long, being forced to come inside to eat dinner.
I remember television being black and white and 13' and changing the stations by sitting in front of it and turning a knob. Oh and there were 3?
I remember soda being a once a year treat.
I remember weekly Sunday dinners with the family.
I remember typing my papers for school and college and retyping because if you made a mistake you had to to it over.
I remember we were among the last to buy a microwave. It was a luxury not a necessity.
I remember lots! LOL Dang we are old.

I remember when having a bath was a secondary detail to be coerced in to with the promise of bubbles
I remember when butterflies were more precious than cars
I remember when every little creature that moved was a delightful mystery
I remember when the stars always shone after sunset
I remember when the early morning air was always crisp
I remember when Styrofoam was for the astronauts
I remember a rainbow being a good reason to stop everything to see
I remember when a visit to the ocean or a river would guarantee the site of silvery schools of fish
