I remember when…

I remember when all milk had cream on top.

I remember when milk and bread were delivered to your door.

I remember before television, before remote controls, and before color. I remember before movies were on TV.

I remember before computers.  I remember when you couldn’t print out and work on the computer at the same time.

I remember when, if you were lucky, you got a fudgsicle stick with a red star on it, and that meant you won something. I think it was a rubber ball.

I remember when everything was easy to open and not sealed like Fort Knox.

I remember when children played out in the street.

I remember when children learned to read phonetically.

I remember when a living room was referred to as the front room.

I remember when children were not so supervised and had plenty of free time to play.

I remember before there were super markets.

I think I remember before there were cake mixes and when everything was made from scratch.

I remember before artificial sweeteners.

I remember before I could ever have dreamed of the life I live now.

What do you remember?
