Heavenletters and Barbara Dixon’s Radio Show, Spirit Speaks

This was a great show, if I say so myself. Barbara has a way with her guests. Think of it:  Barbara does an internet radio show every Monday morning. She puts her whole heart and soul into it. Do you know all the emails it takes back and forth to confirm guests etc. It’s a lot of work. You have to really want to share God in order to have a regular internet radio show.

She does a great job. I know this because the one hour on her show seemed like only two minutes. This is not how it usually is when I am being interviewed.

Here’s where you can listen in: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/Spirit-Speaks/2009/08/03/HeavenLetters

I was thrilled that Lynda called in. She really made the show live. (pronounced with the i sound.)  There was a Nancy there too. I don’t know which Nancy, and I would have loved to have heard what you had to say. Will you tell us who you are?

Heaven Admin was to appear on the show as well. Having Heaven Admin can only make any show sing! He is love and brilliance personified.

Alas, he had technical difficulties and could only speak for a few minutes. Not only was he having internet difficulties, his electricity went off!

What kind of justice is this? Heaven Admin serves Heavenletters unbelievably. He is far more than web master. He is creative director. He is mainstay. He is an enormous resource, and he always says Yes.  He helps other organizations as well. With every word from his mouth, he inspires.

God, how could You let Heaven Admin have technical difficulties? How could You?

God tells us never to complain so, okay, I won’t. But how I missed hearing Heaven Admin’s dear voice and the insights from his heart that he would have shared. You may think I’m exaggerating how wonderful Heaven Admin is. No, I’m not. I’m understating.

Now I am trying to remember what Barbara and Lynda and I talked about!

We did talk about prayer. I said that God (as I know God in Heavenletters) is not keen on prayer! The thing is God doesn’t want us to feel needy and be coming from need.

I mentioned the words that God gave me a long time ago:

Good morning, O Lord, I am in Thy Presence.
I am in Thy Service.
I am in Thy Heart.
I am Thy Province, and I am Thy Happiness.

Think of that! We are God’s Happiness. He is our happiness, and we are His!

That is prayer.

Then Barbara told about how she was once kicked out from prayer group! KICKED OUT FROM A PRAYER GROUP? That is quite a distinction! She was kicked out because she wasn’t in favor of interceding for others, as if they were needy and needing others to pray for them. And who are others to think that a person can’t speak for himself and that he needs them to talk for him?

That could not have been fun to be kicked out of a prayer group! Yet God tells us that we already have everything! EVERYTHING! I am certain that God would only agree with Barbara.

We talked about how Godwriting started, about two movies (Jesus Christ, Superstar, and GODSPELL) both of which had such a miraculous effect on me, and the photo of Christ a friend had given me. When I was by myself and I looked at this photo, really looked at it,  it melted me totally, and I would cry.

And then we spoke about the one time Christ came out of the photo, became all swirling golden light, and spoke to me. Spoke to me!

He said: “Gloria, I have been looking for you for a long time.”

I said: “You‘ve been looking for me?”

And Christ replied: “Yes, I’ve been looking for you for a long time.”

What I understood, really more than understood — knew — was that the meaning of what Christ was saying was: “The Seeker and the Sought are the same.” These words are imprinted– seared in me. They are part of me now.

Consider this: Lynda, who had called in, had also been enormously affected by these same two movies AND by the same photo of Christ! What are the odds of that? Now I feel even closer to Lynda.

Barbara and I talked about the intellect and how knowing God comes from the heart and not the intellect. I read aloud part of God’s introduction to the Heaven book:

Be My love, won’t you? What is My message here for you today? Forget about it. Just be with Me, and allow Me to take you places. Do not sit up so straight. Do not take notes. Just rest in Me.

Let Me tug at your heart. Let Me weave whatever I weave. Let Me pat your brow. Let Me pull worry lines away. Let Me enjoy these few moments with you. What are you in a rush to learn? What must you complete so soon? Just abide with Me.

Give Me your heart, not your mind. There is enough mind in the world and perhaps not enough heart. In any case, I ask for your heart. I wish to entwine it with Mine. Let Our hearts rub elbows. Sit down with Me awhile.

Barbara mentioned how sometimes wisdom comes out of us that we don’t even know we have. As Barbara said that, I found myself opening the Heaven book, Heavenletters, Love Letters from God, Book One, and what page did I open to? Page 153.  And what was the title of the Heavenletter? It was: Do you not on occasion surprise yourself with the wisdom that pours forth from you?

Hope you are able to listen in and post what stood out for you or what you would have wanted more of!

Here is the radio show. I also linked it on the “About” page of this blog.

More than anything, I enjoyed the interaction between you and Barbara. The conversation flowed. Something I enjoyed in this show and would like to see more of in future, is caller interaction. One never knows what to expect from a caller asking sincere questions about Heavenletters or Godwriting. I would like to hear questions from people who are Godwriting and the voices of folk who write here and on the Heavenletters website.

Barbara did say that she would like to have you back as a regular! It would be awesome to do a show while on the Godwriting tour or on the Oneness Journey.

Have you written about the TV show in Vegas yet or have I just spilled the beans?

Oh, yes, to hear the voices of those who post here and on the forum, and who Godwrite. Such a bonus. It really makes it a real conversation, just people talking, not a show.

Nancy was on the line at the beginning, and I’m so sorry we didn’t think to bring her back on. Actually, during the show, I thought Lynda had been the first caller. It was only when I listened to the show afterward, did I realize it was Nancy.

Of course, we wanted more of you, Senor. Barbara wants you back, Senor! We all want you back with your internet and electricity working!

When Lynda and Barbara and I were talking, we were simply three people talking.

Oh, yes, I have mentioned Steve Rother’s TV Show in Las Vegas on Saturday November 28. Everyone is invited to come to the live showing, and, of course, invited to watch on the Internet. Actually, is the show live on the internet? Hmm. I’ll have to find out. Sandie Sedgbeer is going to interview us, Heaven Admin. (Did you ever think you would be called Heaven Admin?)

I would love one person after another calling in. What fun!

Senor, I would love our trip to be like a reality show. All on video! Can you imagine!

I just finished listening to the talk radio presentation, what an impressive job you all did, including the callers and even Santhan’s few words were impressive! Barbara Dixon is so energetic and enthusiastic, she starts things off nicely and she kept things moving well.

Gloria, you were captivating in your portrayal of the mystery involved in how you re-discovered and connected with God, especially your description of the unanticipated events that led you to Heavenletters and Godwriting. How you and Santhan found each other is also a great story.

Lynda added a lot to the show. I got the feeling she could easily do her own show, and such poise she has!

I loved your quote, Gloria: “You cannot Godwrite and not be changed.” So simple and so true. When you read God’s words, too, you are transformed. You are a different person, hon, when you read God’s word.

Nice work!! Love to all……Chuck

Thankyou for your heartfelt comments, Chuck!

I am so grateful I had the opportunity to call in.
I truly feel a strong connection to Gloria, and to be able to chat for a short time was wonderful. I felt I was in the room with Gloria and Barbara.

It is so true. You cannot read God’s words and not be transformed somehow.

It is participating in conversations like the talk show, and dialogue in the blogs, etc. that remind me about the thoughts and actions I need to carry with me throughout the day.

In love & light,
Lynda

i read Your comment about how God wasnt keen on prayer,
and i wasnt sure what you meant. Now that you posted this, i understand. And it’s interesting, because even in the Bible there isnt any prayers that say,
” i need …”
(It’s usaully ” You are my Rock”, ” YOU are my Salvation”
or “deliver me…” or “You are my ever present help…”
etc.
i remember an old hymn that went, ” i need Thee every hour, oh Preciouse LOrd…” Now i wonder if it might be better to sing,” I have Thee every hour…”
