Heaven Admin meets Tikva (Zena)

Last night when Heaven Admin and Lauren went down to Family Video, they came back unexpectedly with Yael and Tikva (Xena.)

For those who are new to this blog, Lauren is my daughter who has moved to Chicago, and Tikva is the sweetest dog in the world. Yael worked at Noah’s Ark, a no-kill shelter, which took in Tikva. Tikva had been most seriously abused. Only later did the kind people at Noah’s Ark later realize how terrorized Tikva had been and said, had they known, they would have put her to sleep.

Tikva had bonded with Yael and Yael’s dog Nafi, short for Napthalia when they lived at the shelter. For about four months, when Yael had moved, Tikva stayed with us. Tikva really made progress. Nevertheless, she spent much of her time hiding. This beautiful Tikva is so gentle and so sweet. How we wish her life could have been as quarter as gentle and sweet.

Heaven Admin and Tikva each knew that the other was special. You should have seen how Heaven Admin spoke to Tikva, and how she listened. Tikva let Heaven Admin pet her. This is a huge event for Tikva at any time and especially on a first meeting.

Tikva took some ricotta cheese from my fingers. How gently she takes food. When we had fostered her, it had taken us a long time to build the trust where she dared to accept food from our hands.

When Heaven Admin, Lauren, Yael and Tikva came home, we ate French toast with 100% pure maple syrup. Heaven Admin, that magician, whipped up a fantastic dip for tortilla chips. We had some of that dessert with whipped cream that was left over, and then another dessert with stewed apples and sour cream that Heaven Admin had put together.

I have noticed that Heaven Admin never rushes and yet accomplishes everything so quickly and easily.

Tomorrow Effendi, Sule, Islim, Effendi’s niece, Neo and Joseph are coming over for lunch which Heaven Admin is preparing while I will set the table and all that.

Hi Zena I am Samson and I stay with Jack and Mieke. They take me for a walk every morning and feed me Like you are fed now. The abuse you have been having I do not know but you certainly have landed in DOG Heaven now so enjoy. So all the best for now and keep well and inform us how DOGS heaven is I wonder if it is the same as here. See You, Love Light and plenty of food. Samson
