Heaven Admin Makes Word Pictures
Here I have all these beautiful photos of Phoenix, and, not only am I not able to get the photos up on this blog — that is nothing new — but nor have Carol and Teresa, who are computer whizzes, been able to figure out how to either. Goodness knows, we’ve all tried.
So then all I have to do is what I always do – send the photos as attachments to Santhan who so generously and graciously, puts them up on the blog, as if he had nothing else to do.
As you know, for some unknown reason, I can receive in my Outlook program while I’m here using wireless but cannot send. So I have been using Squirrel Mail.
From the day I arrived, I’ve been downloading photos from my camera onto Outlook, but the photos sit in no man’s land, panting to get onto this blog. I simply do not know how to send attachments from Squirrel mail, and I am unable to get the photos into Squirrel mail in the first place anyway.
I thought I had it figured out. I opened up a gmail account. Then all I would have to do is download the photos from Picasa again — this time into my new gmail account.
So what could go wrong now?
Perhaps Picasa is having difficulties. I can send the photos from Picasa but they won’t arrive in my gmail account. Aughh. I tested and sent them to my Outlook account, and the eager photos don’t arrive there any longer either.
Meanwhile, early on, I wrote Heaven Admin:
It’s really beautiful in Phoenix. Bright red flowers (Bougainvillea) and palm trees.
Heaven Admin sure knows how to make word pictures. He emailed back:
Awesome! Bougainvilleas flow over God’s patio forming a frame to His view of the universe.
Today I was struck into stillness watching the winter say its hello here in South Africa with a majestic display in the Heavens. Multiple rainbows, a gateway to Narnia, clouds glowing crimson with the setting sun and a potent blue ocean.
Querida, the Bougenvilla flowers must be like the burning wings of the Phoenix.
Meanwhile, until the photos can get up, I hold back blog entries about Phoenix and the Godwriting workshop. Well, someday…
Perhaps, Heaven Admin, you would do a guest entry and post the beautiful photos you’ve taken of the rainbows, clouds glowing crimson, setting sun and blue ocean?
You have gone up on the roof and taken photos, haven’t you?
