God’s Words
God in Heavenletters™ works on us on the subtle levels, do you agree? Somehow He brings us higher without giving us a list of things to do. One of His great successes, it seems to me, is how He motivates us to want to go higher and be closer to Him.
In the personal Godwriting™ that He and I do, you may remember He told me to think or say:
“Good morning, O Lord, I am in Thy Presence.”
This was a little unusual because the God I know doesn’t speak in archaic English, though I love such words as Thy and find them very beautiful. I don’t recall that God in Heavenletters ever refers to Himself as Lord either. So both Lord and Thy seemed a little strange to me.
I do find a great sense of increased closeness to God when I remind myself that I am in His Presence. God stays in one place so close to us, and now I’m moving over closer to Him. This was something of a revelation to me because I had thought more along the lines of God’s coming closer to us.
Then God added two more sentences:
I am in Thy Service.
I am in Thy Heart.
Both of these give me a a thrill too. I say all three of these to myself every morning. It sorta feels to me like renewing a vow.
Recently, God gave me two more of these short statements.
The first is:
I am Thy Province.
Not that I am in God’s Province, but that I am His Province. I am God’s Province. This one does a lot for me too. What it means to me is that God takes responsibility for me. This is a great relief to me.
The last one of these is:
I am Thy Happiness.
Just to think: God is happy because He has us. He is my happiness, and now I learn I am His happiness too!
I find these simple statements strengthening. And when I remember to, during the day I think them again:
I am in Thy Presence. I am in Thy Service. I am in Thy Heart. I am Thy Province. I am Thy Happiness.
And my heart feels so eased.
When you think of these words, do you feel something too?
