Ginny’s Godwriting

You may remember that Ginny is a Tai Chi Instructor. This is a sample of her Godwriting that she did at home after the Nevada workshop was over. Do you feel what I feel when you read it?

Ginny to God:

Dear God, I am in Your Presence.

Will you speak to me of Poetry, of my potential as a poet. This is something I want to be and do SO much…..I can taste it. I have played with it and written some poems that I’m very pleased with, but, I feel there is so much more inside me that I want to say. And I don’t seem to be able to find the words, the images like other poets can. I worry that I’ll never be able to write with all the beauty and feeling that I want to express. I have stopped writing altogether in the last month, and yet I know I am not done. I feel like this is my last and greatest love affair — as a poet with “wordsâ€?…â€?beautiful wordsâ€? that will move hearts to a higher level of love and appreciation of life. Do I have it in me to do this?

With love, Ginny

God says:

You have it in you, Ginny, of that there is no doubt. What you speak of and long for, which you call poetry or beautiful words and images is simply your longing for ME. And you are coming closer and closer to ME with every breath and every thought.

And your Godwriting is your poem, Our poem, the one we are writing together. It is the poem of discovery, of Creation and separation, and return, and the longing that strings that all together, all the threads starting and ending in Me. You are always connected through these threads to the source of all Life to ME. Even if you think you are disconnected, you are still held in this Divine filament. It feeds you constantly everything you need to do or be, whatever you desire. It is only in your mind, in your worry, that you are disconnected. In truth, there is nothing to fear. Let all those thoughts go, and turn your attention fully to ME.

I am the only Poem to write, the Beauty you feel and wish to express, and the Love that dispels all fear — that frees your Spirit to push its way beyond any limitations you have imagined. Keep your desire burning, and come to me in thought and prayer, and together we will stoke those fires. These are the fires that will never burn you, for I am there in the center in the heart of all your longing for beauty. Leap into that fire, Ginny. Let it melt your fear until all that remains is Love, and speak from that Center, let those words ring out ….and they will be beautiful beyond measure…..

Karen, isn’t this the truth? What a lovely prayer you wrote. I love it all, but I especially loved this that you wrote:

“I am in awe of your presence, your light, your fire, passion and wonder of you.”

Ohmygosh! What a wonderful way to start the day…God has really “pegged” Ginny. I, too, know who she is and I cherish her poetry. I am going to leap (head first) into that fire today with Ginny and Karen (and Gloria tho’ I suspect she’s already there)and today, I will let God Be God…(sigh of relief…)With Gratitude, Michelle

Dear Ginny,
Sometimes I have to still the all the thoughts I have in order to be given the right ones from On High. I read a cookbood by the poet and all around wonderful woman Maya Angelou called “Hallelujah! The Welcome Table” and it gave me more than recipes for food to eat, it gave me food for thought. Just hang in there and pray a lot, you’ll get it soon enough. And don’t worry! God is always with you working towards your best and highest interests.
Peace to your heart,
Love, Kim

And, Ginny, look at the beauty your sharing one of your Godwritings brought out from others! What an opportunity you gave us to exult in God’s gifts to you and everyone.

I imagine that even if your Godwriting were not posted, it would have still worked wonders. But how much better to see what even one Godwriting can do.

Right this minute it seems to me that we don’t have to ask God for anything, but that we open our eyes so that we can see all He has given us.

To all who took the time to read and comment on my Godwriting…I feel your love and the connection we share. I worried that my topic was too narrow, too selfish…but as I reread it and your comments, I realized NO topic is too narrow…all of our topics are about ONE thing… letting go of fear, and trusting God. I love you all….Ginny

Dear Ones….As a result of all the Love and Support of this Godwriting community, yesterday I got up the courage to write poetry again. With all of your words (and God’s) in my head I did it! Gloria told us in the workshop….Don’t WAIT to be inspired, just sit down and DO IT! And it isn’t you doing it anyway, it’s God. So it’s easy. That’s the way I do my Godwriting…and the way I shall write poetry from now on. I am deeply grateful to you all….Ginny

Awesome Ginny!

…and speak from that Center….

This phrase conveys the teaching, method and practise in 5 words. Powerful! We look forward to more of your writing.
