Gil and Gil

Let me introduce Gil and Gil to you!

One Gil is pronounced Gill, and the other Gil is pronounced Jill.   Their names are just one of those things that can’t be quite explained!

Randy and Sally, two strong Heavenreaders (and one Godwriter,)  drive down from Illinois  every once in a while, take me on the town, and it’s always wonderful to see them.

As you know, I have been clearing out my house, and, guess what? Sally and Randy had one Gil all by itself, a Gil without a mate. Can you imagine who is still clearing out her house and had an identical pillow? It was me! I did! Isn’t that perfect? I was going to have to  give my pillow away to someone, and then Sally and Randy showed up perfectly with a pillow just like mine! Now, this is some kind of minor miracle, isn’t it? I bet you never saw fish pillows like these before. Look at that photo up top again!

Tell me, what are the odds that two such pillows would exist, one in Illinois and one in Iowa, and that they would meet, let alone fall in love!

So now Gil and Gil are a perfect couple, and don’t they look fabulous in their chairs? Gil and Gil spend a great deal of their time lazing on the patio, though recently they came along to show me how happy they are together. They like riding in the car and are welcome to visit.

Sally and Randy also have a baby white praying mantis and his green-eyed lady.

The praying mantises are also a great couple. You will see pictures of each of them below. Don’t they look special? Sally and Randy couldn’t get a photo of them together. Shy, I suppose.

After the photo of the praying mantis couple,  see a gorgeous Illinois molten sunset.

And then see Sally and Randy watching a sunset.

So there are three happy couples at their house — Sally and Randy, a praying mantis couple, and, of course, Gil and Gil,  sunning on the patio.

Hi GG,
Gil and Gil just returned from their honeymoon in the mountains of Colorado. They enjoyed sitting in the back seat on top of the ice chest during the journey out and back. They enjoyed seeing all the cars go by and many passing children enjoyed seeing them peering out. We practice the fine art of being silly and wringing as much fun out of everyday life as we can! And when we get to visit GG in Fairfield, now that is something really fun.
Love from Sally and Randy

Please carry me in your back pockets on your adventures. I want to see the looks on the faces of the old and young kids who enjoy Gil and Gil riding in style in the backseat!
