When I first learned to read, and I was a very good reader from the beginning, I read every fairy tale I could get my hands on. I loved them and learned a lot from them. My life was such that they were my teachers when I needed them. I was the main character as I, too, lived in them. Just this past week I was telling my 6 year old Drama Queen granddaughter about the Boy Who Cried Wolf…I think kids need to read these, but boy, it seems that they might be too “frightening” for them. Hmmmm. I did ok with them…seems to me they are more educational than video games.
As far as you being the channel for these letters, Gloria, why not you?? And God uses what we have stored within from our life experiences to bring forth the messages. In your case, fairy tales are stored within you. Isn’t it wonderful how that works? It’s why all our letters have different flavors.

Gloria,it seems may be God felt that your way of storytelling, and composing could be part of the reason. And you have this sense of wonderment about you, which keeps the letters innocent.

Yes, Santhan, I agree with you that we are all being groomed. What a wonderful and re-assuring insight! We are being groomed by our Creator in every moment. We are being groomed by every aspect of His creation. We are being groomed through every interaction with everyone one of His children. To me, the question is not whether or not we are being groomed but whether we are aware that this marvelous grooming is ongoing and of where it is taking us. We don’t need to be aware that it is happening, it will happen anyway, it is God’s Will. But isn’t it so much more fun to know what is really going on?

Gloria, I’m not sure who your question is directed toward, but I will venture an answer. Heavenletters come through you for specific reasons of which I have no means of knowing what they are. What I feel I do know is that if there was a better person through which these specific letters might come to us, that person would be receiving them instead of you. Let us count our many blessings and be grateful for the wonderful way these things have been arranged!

Ghee, this post is better than better. It has to go into The Little Things, word for word.

I read this morning’s Heavenletter and I was thinking pretty much the same. How in the world do Heavenletters happen? That I don’t know. However it is clear why God sends them out through you. And that this miracle is expanded by Godwriting Workshops…wow.

We are all being groomed for this moment, now.

There is this tale about a bird called Geta that rose from the ashes. Has anyone read that one?

Beloved Betty Jean, I, too, hadn’t been thinking of fairy tales, and, yet, I never forgot them.

Beloved Jack, we sure will miss you and all your love, and yet we have to be glad that you and Mieke are going to have a wonderful time. God bless you.

Beloved Paula, I cannot imagine the barrenness of life without fairy tales, the real ones, not the prettied-up ones.

I wonder if we have seven Heavenletters with reference to fairy tales and whether they could be compiled into a 7-letter Heaven book. I wonder.

I lived from and in fairy tales when I was a little girl. They seemed more real to me than the ‘real’ life. What I loved most was the fact that there was always a happy ending. So I was at peace in living fully the excitement and the fear, because I knew everything would be fine in the end. It was wonderful to discover how the tale would bring me there. - Now that I think of it, maybe this is the teaching I needed to learn from them.

I remember enjoying fairy tales as a child. What I remember and loved the most is that fairy tales could transport my mind up,up and beyond the mundane; beyond boundaries of time and space . . . to other dimensions and back again. To other realms of reality that were fascinating and charming. . . Thanks for your keen observations that definitely helped me to remember childhood in a way that I have not reflected on in some time.

I confess you, Gloria, than when I really think of it, that I listen to God through you, I can’t believe that too.
When I was a child I could malinger just to stay home and read fairy tales in my bed, on huge and heavy old books with beautiful illustrations, while thinking of all other poor children at school ( to the teacher in you I say that I was very good at school, I knew I could lie, now and then, with no harm).
“Are we all being groomed for something?”, I wonder too, but I have no answer.
