Dreams Come True
Heavenletters have been graced with beautiful subscribers. One is C.M. Yogi, a holy man from Nepal. In the Himalayas, he feeds and educates the street children. He has founded ashrams, schools and youth organizations with the sole idea of making life better for others. He is at that place where he can only think about others.
If you have not yet visited the Heavenletters Community Forum, C.M. Yogi’s personal spiritual journey would be an amazing place to start.
As we all know, the outside of our lives does not always seem to keep up with our spiritual development. And those of us who live in peace also suffer for the suffering.
I would like to reprint here some ongoing postings in the forum. Just C.M. Yogi’s most recent heartfelt postings. You will see the story his postings tell.
The first post here was written when our friend had just returned from a visit to South Africa. He was a guest there of UNICEF, ROSA, and South Asia Inter-Religious Council on HIV/AIDS:

Dear Friends Namaste!
I returned to my home country Nepal on Sunday, April 2 after a week long tour of South Africa (SA).
As it was my first visit to SA, I naturally became excited. The progress and development the country has made seem so amazing.
It’s the country which I feel like I have an inner connection with as Mahatma Gandhi had started his actual journey from this country. There is still the train station with an inscription along with the picture of Gandhi where he was thrown out of the train in charge of traveling in the first class. Fortunately, it’s the country where religious harmony seems to be flourishing and where the racial discrimination doesn’t exist now any more. A long awaited dream has come true.
But, it is so sad to state that I was terribly shocked to have witnessed the devastation and panic caused by HIV/AIDS. Nearly 6 million people are detected to have gotten infected by this fatal disease. Poverty, and gap between haves and have nots are still grave problems that have so badly affected the country. Many innocent children are born with HIV positive; Grandparents are taking care of their grandchildren, as their parents have died or infected by AIDS. What a terrible scene. I was extremely shocked by this very terrifying and shocking play of death. Throughout my visit only a question kept banging on my head - WHY ? WHY ?? WHY ???
A few terrible questions have taken away my sleep. Can we stop our responsibility just by blaming upon the youths? Is it the failure only of the government? Is it only SA suffering by HIV/AIDS? What’s the duty that the religious leaders should take very earnestly? What should the social workers do collectively? Can we leave these youngsters and children helpless just to await death? What do they really need? The spiritual awareness or moral classes? Financial support or physical comfort? The training of life or the opportunity of living? A sustainable and just society? Or, what else?
MY FRIENDS, LET’S THINK IN TIME NOT ONLY FOR SOUTH AFRICA BUT FOR OUR FUTURE, FOR OUR NEW HUMAN GENERATION, FOR OUR PLANET AND VERY ESPECIALLY FOR OUR TRUE DHARMA. CAN WE CLOSE OUR EYES AND LET PEOPLE DIE SO MISERABLY???
What terrifies me a lot these days is that may be Nepal is also going to face almost the same type of problem. May be in a small scale now, but there is a fear that the spark of this fatal disease has already lit which seems to be gutting the Nepalese society at an alarming rate. As we know that a small spark can destroy the entire forest in case the preventive measures are not taken cautiously and timely. Nepal is a very tiny Himalayan country with fascinating nature and soul-touching culture which has to be protected for its own new generation and for those good people of the world who unconditionally love Nepal and want to experience her spiritual gorgeousness and flavor.
As I’m writing this, I’m missing the tiny pure eyes of the children in SA who even don’t know that they are here only for a few years more. No more years to laugh. So please let’s listen the call of time and work hand-in-hand. Let’s walk together for a healthy human society; let’s create a friendly society – the society filled with love, trust and respect for each other. Never think that you are safe while the next house is burning. It may turn towards you at any time. SO ARISE, AWAKE, STOP NOT TILL THE GOAL IS REACHED.

Namaste,
i’m sorry to tell you that the situation of Nepal is getting worse day by day. The American Embassy has recently announced its citizens to leave Nepal if they want. Likewise, it has stopped now issuing the visa for Nepalese going to USA for any reason. It means that now Nepal is not a safe country… !!!
i’m trying my best to continue my service, my work is like my worship, i get up everyday with a hope and zeal to serve the society. i actually live only for the society, for the betterment of humanity because for me God is in every being, so serving my fellows means serving Him. But when i see that people are fighting and killing each other, and the economy of the country is getting collapsed… then i ask myself what have i done for the society? where is my contribution to awaken my friends and save many innocent people’s life???
The political parties raise the voice for Democracy… the King also speaks about the Democracy… even the Maoist also speaks the same word - Democracy !!! what a terrible confusion in the name of democracy ??? … i feel so ashamed that we have not understood , practiced and realized the values of democracy, its actually values, a way of living …. So far i have understood Dharma itself Democracy… betterment of all, happiness of all, love & respect for all and creating a Heaven for all. But now …. !!!
Well, friends, i need to keep on walking….. and your prayers will encourage me to walk till the end of my last breath also.
May God bless all.

Namaste, Friends. Your words are soooooo powerful for me and i have been talking to my friends about it and also have been using it as references in my various talks regularly… In fact, the positive words are source of inspiration for all of us, nothing is more important than true words of spirituality which
are expressed by people like you who have understood and practiced the words of wisdom themselves, thankssssssssss
You know, the HVP schools were supposed to reopen last Monday but the political situation hasn’t become better…. the future of innocent children is affected very badly by this political turmoil…. So sad !!! We are doing the programs (regular Satsang etc ) in the Ashram and continuing the program for kids as well - Seeds Of Peace etc., but i question myself time to time that how much i have become able to water and control the fire?
Yes, Paula ji, as you say - “See only the Real, only Love - hear only the Real, only Love - speak only the Real, only Love….” i need to be in deep love to create love for all.
Yes, Robert ji , you are right - “The reality is that humanity is playing out a final drama of love and compassion, clearing the heart of old ways of thinking so that your seed of love and compassion can find new soil there.” i’m trying my best to plant the seeds of love, peace and service… but to be honest, it’s such a long way, especially in a poor country. It’s truly a longest way, however, we need to keep on walking……
Dear Friends , thanks once again for your prayers… true prayers of true people will make some change, That i hope. Namaste.

Dear Gloria ji, Paula ji, Robert ji, John ji and all other good friends Namaste from Nepal.
Friends, we are trying our best to hold our inner personality and spiritual vision….. but you know sometime it’s quite challenging to control yourself, when you see that the things are going on just opposite… especially when you know that your path is reforming the society through the light of spirituality … but you see that the light of spirituality does not seem to be enough… so the people are killing each other, the leaders are leading the public to satisfy only their false EGO, the king is not sincere and bold enough to give up his power, a material and military power.
i know spirituality is the only solution for any kind of problem, but when the power is based on only the politics, dirty politics and all are forced to follow it, that is the time we feel helpless…
As you know that Nepal is one of the very poor countries of the world, the per capita income is only 270 US dollars, many are leaving the country to get the job and so on…. in such a disappointing case when political leaders lose the vision and forget the Dharma, then whole country suffers, the innocent people lose their life, and the poor people die by hunger, it’s now so miserable…
However, i have again realized more deeply that still a long journey to go, our duty has become now more challenging…. still we need to have a GREAT SADHANA to enlighten the souls, awaken the minds, purify the hearts, change the attitudes and build up the confidence and HOPE…
Therefore, Gloria ji, the words of Heavenletters are healing for me; i know it, i feel it and we need more prayers from good friends like you. John ji, thanks a lot for lovely words of JESUS “those who live by the sword will die by the sword.”. Likewise, i would like to thank to Robert ji for his words of wisdom — “See yourself as a warrior of the heart, wielding the mighty Sword of Love.”
My dear friends, thank you soooo much for your positive words… i know that my spiritual strength and faith on Him will never be weakened, especially these are the times when i feel more close to Him, suppose He is listening to me and walking with me. But i don’t want only to close my eyes and sit in meditation and enjoy talking spiritual philosophy… i want to save my country, i want to serve my fellows who are now dying unnecessarily… Therefore, i need your divine prayers and your true love…. so i could keep this Heaven always as a small Heaven. Namaste.

April 25, (from C.M. Yogi’s brother Om):
Some three weeks ago seven political parties, the main political forces in Nepal, started peaceful street protest and called nationwide strike against the king’s rule and they have peaceful support of maoist as well. The king-led government responded with curfew and suppression of demonstration and killing of demonstrators. The people were so courageous that even when security forces can shoot at the people on sight during the curfew, hundreds of thousands people took to the street in Kathmandu and all over the country.
The king, bent by people’s power, invited seven political parties three days before to name prime minister and form government under this. But the political parties rejected it saying that this could not address their demand and address the maoist problem. Despite of the fact that the international community had welcomed king’s move, the parties decided to continue their struggle, which of course had left some worries on people that if the king used excessive force to quell the movement, the country could face towards the civil war.
BUT to every one’s joy, king announced reinstatement of house of parliament last night! This has opened door for new possibilities and this new governement which had signed 12 point pacts with maoist earlier shall be able for peaceful settlement to the moist problem. The official reaction of maoist has not come yet, but it is understood tht they are positive to this new development. Providing they were genuinely serious to the 12 point agreement they had signed with parties while they were fighting together against the direct rule of king, the chance of permanent peace is very high.
The first house is sheduled on 28th of April. The house is expected to form an all party government, which will hold dialogue with maoist and bring them into a peaceful political process, and then the process for constituent assembly election will begun, this is one of the main demands maoist has put forward. This assembly will also decide the fate of monarchy along with taking many other important decisions.
So this has given all of us a new hope. After almost 12 years of conflict

My dear friends, Namaste
i’m so thankful to you all for your very POSITIVE words which are full of wisdom and compassion….
Now the things are changing in Nepal, seems that it will go on positive direction… let’s pray… at least i’m satisfied that the murder and violence of day to day life is stopped now, at least the poor will go to their work and feed their children at night and the children will go to school with a smile and hope… Likewise, now the roads will be free for the vehicles, no more burning tires with terrible smell… now the nights would be calmer, no more horrifying sounds of bombs…now the youths will work in the fields & factories … no more terrifying protest on the roads with heartbreaking slogans….
How sad it is that every time in the name of political change only the poor people suffer, the children and mothers are harmed, the youths are used just like tools. However, now the time is turning towards a positive direction…., i want to see people happy… satisfied… working hard…, living together…, walking together, appreciating all… and praying God as the Upanishad say - ” Saha Nau Awatu, Saha Nau Bhunaktu….”
My dear friends, i’m so thankful that you kept me in your thoughts and in prayers; we are blessed by having true friends like you all. i have forwarded your emails to many of my friends. in fact, when we feel each other deeply and pray for each other heartily, the Heaven appears itself, thanks a lot.
Once again, i want to thank to Robert ji, John ji, Paula ji and all other good friends, all are source of inspiration for me. There are many people in this world talking about the spirituality and philosophy but i think only few are lucky who live with spiritual philosophy, live in Heaven and create Heaven, so thank you SO MUCH.

Those of us who live in the Western World, what easy lives we lead.
I have no experience with war, yet I want to say what I think.
A war does not have to be within its own country to be a civil war, does it? But, of course, all wars are really uncivil. I can only imagine that all wars are some playing out of sibling rivalry.
I have learned that in Spanish the words for brother and sister are hermano and hermana. In the African Isizulu language, the words for brother and sister are Umfwethu and Dadawethu. There is not a language in the world that lacks words for brother and sister. Or for Oneness.
May our thoughts and words and actions always be in the direction of peace. Our One Father loves us all. God is our power and our glory. Who needs war?
