Does God rest on Sundays?
Sometimes I would hold fast to ideas that were against the tide of friends’ advice, and now I can look back and see that, even though I didn’t really know what I was doing, it turned out just fine. And when I followed friends’ advice, it turned out just fine too! I’m talking about Heavenletters right now.
In the early days, some truly good friends were advising me with Heavenletters.
For example, I was strongly advised not to send out a Heavenletter every day. After all, God rested on the seventh day. The idea was that it would be too much for me and too much for readers.
All I knew was that at least one Heavenletter a day was being written down, and what would I do with all the extra Heavenletters if I didn’t send them out? It isn’t even really that I thought. It was more like I didn’t know how to get out of it. I wouldn’t or couldn’t stop writing at least one down every day, and that seemed to answer the question for me.
I also personally didn’t believe that God takes days off. I know He doesn’t, although I do believe God wants us to rest. In the case of Heavenletters, rest from what? Rest from that which rests my heart and soul far more than any lounging around?
I later learned the value in daily Heavenletters for me and for those who receive them. I think it’s an exponential thing. The build-up is greater. The importance given to Heavenletters is greater. I also have a feeling that just the sending out may be sending God’s energy out on the airwaves. Maybe the intention to send out Heavenletters every day and the intention to receive every day alone are making wonderful things happen, even if we don’t know what they are.
On the other hand, it was a friend’s idea to offer twice a week subscriptions, which, at first, I resisted. There are over 300 Heavenreaders who subscribe to twice a week. Isn’t 300 out of 3.000 ten percent? Then ten percent of Heavenreaders read them twice a week. I wouldn’t want to be without even one of the twice a week readers.
Subsequently, there has been much valuable advice and support that were total blessings. You know what some of these are. The forum and this blog, for instance!
I am very grateful to everyone who cared enough to advise me although sometimes I didn’t make it easy.
Now I would like to ask you for your ideas.
There must be more that we can do to spread God’s messages in Heavenletters. Perhaps you have ideas that you haven’t told us about. I hope you will send in your ideas. Even wild ideas – let’s have them. Post them here, will you, and let’s see what happens! You could very well have the next great idea that we’ve been waiting for!
