Creating a Better World, One Couch At A Time
Do you remember the earlier blog entry about Brittney?

Here is another beautiful photo of Brittney — this one even has the sun’s rays shining on her:

Have you heard of couch-surfing?
I never had. Heaven Admin did, however. This will give you an idea of what it’s about and how we came to know Brittney:
Eat borscht in Odessa! Watch kangaroos in Adelaide! Find the best noodles in Tokyo! Show travelers the best live music near your home, or your favorite hiking trail. Meet people who share your interest in travel and the world.
CouchSurfing is a worldwide network for making connections between travelers and the local communities they visit. With members in over 230 countries and territories (even Antarctica!). CouchSurfers use over 302 different languages, and live in over 67,000 different cities. Over a million members are out there waiting to learn about your culture and show you some of theirs.
CouchSurfing is a non-profit organization dedicated to making it more accessible for all people to explore the world and share inspiring experiences. CouchSurfing’s terms of use also forbid any commercial activity from occurring on the site. Hosts never charge their CouchSurfers. Most CouchSurfers do like to thank their host with a small gift or an act of kindness (such as cleaning the house or cooking a meal), but this is not required — the only thing that’s expected is an inspiring experience!

One weekend in early May, there was a fabulous sustainable conference going on here in Fairfield, Iowa, and Heaven Admin received a Couch Surfing request. And that’s how Heaven Admin and I came to meet Brittney.
If there had been a huge detailed questionnaire trying to match us up, we couldn’t have found a more wonderful person and one more suited to what matters to each of us — sustainability, good healthy food, organic gardening, and spirituality.
So Brittney and Heaven Admin went off the sustainable conference, and I stayed home and surfed Heavenletters™!
Brittney is a bright light and became a subscriber and friend for life.
Brittney, when are you coming back?
