Book Ideas
A few days ago, since I wrote about Fairy Tales, I have been excited about the idea of a 7 Heavenletter book or ebook of fairy tales.
Jochen, I actually did a search on the Heavenletter page on my own!
I found lots and lots of Heavenletters with reference to fairy tales, Cinderella, Cinderella’s carriage, the prince, frog prince, Hansel and Gretel, wicked witch, wicked stepmother, Pied Piper, Open Sesame. I couldn’t find Rapunzel who put down her long hair. There are many fairy tales I haven’t searched for yet There are a million things I’m supposed to be doing, and need taking care of, but how I love anything to do with fairy tales.
Although there are many references to fairy tales and fairy tale characters, I came across only one Heavenletter that had a fairy tale or fairy tale character as its main topic. Mostly there was a paragraph or a line or two, so the idea of a 7 Heavenletter book of fairy tales won’t work. But what about a book of what God says about certain fairy tales and the way He uses them to make His point.
Then it occurred to me we could make other books with literature references. I came across the Hobbit, King Arthur’s Court. I wasn’t even looking for them.
Then people! Lots of Columbus references. What about a Columbus Day book? We have at least one reference to Einstein. Probably not enough.
And then I thought of images of the heart – so many wonderful ones. How about a little book of metaphors of the heart? They are sooo beautiful.
Metaphors of love. Valentine’s Day! Greeting cards!
Metaphors of ego. Some are just so funny.
And metaphors of the mind.
What do you think? Are these good ideas?
