<description>"I suppose courage amounts to being true to yourself."

I think this expresses it excellently, yes, it is the truth that we are.

I love this poem here of dear Mike very much:

Touching...Touched...

Touching...touched...
Is the truth of us
In love

Gently wrapped
Infinitely
Freely in, perfectly as
Passion's embrace

Feeling, every taste
Health
In countless ways
Tended together, blended forever
With unending spiritual wealth

No rushing, for nothing's forced
No haste
As time's not a thing to spend nor waste
Rather, gushing from and forth
Like the largest of falls ever seen, aware that it's oceanic flow
Is connected in Source, to the movement of the raindrop and stream

mike :)

Much love to all

<description>I so agree, Gloria. It takes great courage to be true to yourself! What a wonderful e.e. cummings poem - thank you for sharing it, Jeff.
Here is another gem by him that I hadn't heard until a couple of years ago in the movie "In Her Shoes".
It seems to repeat what God says in so many of these Heavenletters

"i carry your heart with me(i carry it in my heart)i am never without it(anywhere i go you go,my dear;and whatever is done by only me is your doing, my darling)
i fear
no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet)i want
no world(for beautiful you are my world, my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows
higher than the soul can hope or the mind cand hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart
i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)</description>

<description>Do you know what just occurred to me? Courage is integrity. That's what it is, I think.

Jeff had courage, and then there was the courage of the Air France pilots in a couple of entries back.
