Angels, angels, angels
There is no other explanation but that real-live human beings are angels. Certain occasions really bring out the angelness in people. Moving seems to be one of them.
Some of these angels you are already familiar with, and some are new.
Here’s a list:

Heaven Admin who heroically managed and physically did so much of the schlepping — and there was considerable, either to Bargain Box, My Lucky Day, or to the new place or to Jacqueline’s for storage. Heaven Admin transported many things in his backpack on his bicycle. How can a phenomenon like Heaven Admin be explained? He keeps giving and giving, one wave of giving after another. He is such a big thinker, takes on major responsibility, and he also takes on the responsibility for details. Somehow, during all this activity, he made sure there was good food to eat. Heaven Admin can sure multi-task.

Jacqueline who loaned us a room in her house for many of the items — spiritual books, for example, that we want to take to Argentina on the motor home trip and have no place for here. Also winter clothing and bedding — and much more.
Not only that, Jacqueline did an awful lot of chauffering. One day right before the move, she drove me around for nine (9) errands. Now, that is a friend. Today (the day I am writing this) she is driving to Ottumwa (thirty miles away) so we can return Media Com equipment and not be charged $500.
Samina who came with all her heart to help clean house. Samina is someone who sees a need and wants to take care of it. She shortened clothes for me. Anything I would ask Samina, she was more than happy to do. I didn’t ask, but she even borrowed the van of a friend of hers to help us move. There isn’t anything that Samina wouldn’t do. Samina is from Pakistan. May her application for resident status in U.S. go smoothly.
Samina, I don’t even have a photo of you! So I’ll take your photo and insert it above as soon as possible.

The people at the Sufi House, left to right above — Heaven Admin whom you know very well, Argowan who was so wonderful to us in Istanbul, Ron, Ismael, and that’s Neo with the drill. Neo is the young man who would always walk me home from the Sufi House. It is Ron in the center who so willingly loaned truck and muscle and everyone else — muscle. They all happily went above and beyond. Sufi friends are not for only once or twice. They are always. They are masters of hospitality. This is the Sufi Way.
Dianita. Dianita’s special gift was like this: She sat with me. Just that she was there with me helped me focus. I could go through a whole box with her there and not wander off and do something else. Dianita came even when she wasn’t feeling well. Her special gift, however, is in what she would say. As I went through items, she would say with finality, “Toss.” “Toss.” “Toss.” That was the only word in her vocabulary! There were some things I didn’t want to part with, and Dianita repeated: “Toss.” Do you know, I can’t even remember now what those things were that I wanted to keep? Thank you, Dianita, that you told me to toss.
Michael, the magnificent direct, actor, and playwright came to the house and offered to give us an hour. I simply didn’t know what to give him to do. He sure was right there to help. (One of these days I’ll get snapshot of this handsome guy.)
Ginger is going to have a whole blog devoted to her, for she gave surprise after surprise. I always knew she was an angel, but I didn’t know how much of an angel. Ginger is a kind gentle generous person who should only be doing beautiful things like decorating a cake or sewing ruffles and not getting her hands dirty at all, yet she pitched in and was so utterly delightful and creative as well. The blog devoted to Ginger will also include a few more angels and their photos.
