An Open Letter
In response to HEAVEN #2477 Be respectful first, Debra Sargent from Vermont posted on the Heavenletter Spiritual Community Forum:
I wish that I were able to learn this lesson - gifted with Heavenletters when my sons were young. Then maybe the oldest wouldn’t be struggling to learn it so much now that he is an adult. But having said that, it is also his to learn. And I feel privileged to have such a connection to be able to have the learning. Each day I get the chance to practice this learning. Each day I succeed a little more. With help and the love that has been gifted to me. I have such good friends and family. All my family pretty much are estranged, but they are still ones I love. They have their own struggles, and I don’t have to fix it any more. I just love them from afar and don’t fall into the chaos anymore. Their anger is theirs. Thank you, God, so very much for being with me each day. You level me and allow for me to be.
I wish I had had Heavenletters sooner too. And now I would like to be as far along in accepting life as you are, Debra.
Because the beauty and wisdom of Heavenletters come through me sure doesn’t mean I’ve got it down pat. I’m a beginner. I’ve come a long way, and still I’m a beginner.
I receive the Heavenletters the same way you read them. They present a new angle, give me food for thought, and much room to grow.
If fifteen years ago, someone had told me I would be writing down God’s words, I would have thought that this would make me really something, like I would have arrived. I would have thought I would really be the most enlightened happiest person in the world! It’s not like that!
Each Heavenletter humbles me.
And when I read everyone’s comments on the forum and on this blog, I am humbled more.
I have needed God a lot.
I am glad we are in this God search together. I am glad to be seeking and learning right along with you. I am also honored to know you. I have learned a great deal from God, and I have learned a great deal from you. You are a great part of my life, and I am grateful to you. It is great good fortune to have Heavenletters surrounded with hearts and minds like yours.
