A Sure-Fire Peace Plan

I haven’t thought of another way to achieve lasting world peace in a long time. Finally a light bulb went on, and another simple workable idea appeared. This is a sure winner.

Heads of state from every country will meet together with gardening tools. If they can’t all meet at once, that would be okay. Definitely the heads of state of countries that seem the furthest apart will have to meet. On whose soil we don’t care.

Here’s my great idea:

The heads of state will plant a garden together! Flowers/vegetables/trees, it’s up to them. I would recommend planting all of them myself.

Can you imagine heads of state kneeling on the ground together, digging holes, carefully placing plants in the holes, patting the ground around the plants with their hands, watering the plants? Wouldn’t they get up, wipe their hands on their pants, shake hands cheerily, go somewhere, sit down in a booth maybe and order a drink, each one wanting to be the one who treats the other? Like good friends, wouldn’t they have a friendly fight over who would pay?

This is a three-pronged peace plan.

1. Creating a garden together – wouldn’t they each truly wish each other’s garden to prosper!
2. Shaking hands, not from protocol, but from their hearts
3. Fighting over, not what they want to get, but what they truly wish to give

This could even become a yearly tradition! One year the planting in one country, the next year in another. Or maybe they would plant in spring, and then meet in fall again to reap and share what they planted!

I am considering all possibilities. If they couldn’t meet in spring and fall, then, in the fall, for instance, they could priority mail produce from their gardens! Think how good the President of the U.S. for example, would feel to receive hand-picked grapes from the President of Iraq, and how good the President of Iraq would feel to open up a box of apples that the U.S. President picked and packed himself, especially when the two heads of state had planted side by side.

This is our thirteenth (13th) brilliant plan for world peace. Do you like it?

Now, my question is, how do we implement these plans – or even one of them? How do we put them into practice. Any ideas?

Just by reading these plans, don’t you think every head of state would have a smile on his face?

It’s a brilliant plan! It’s one of the best yet. There is profound symbolism in sowing and reaping together in harmony. I think this would dissolve any tension immediately.

This would one of the few occasions where shipping food across continents would be acceptable. For the sake of world peace!

Can you imagine Thabo Mbeki pulling out sweet potatoes, Traian Băsescu harvesting a cabbage and Cristina Fernández making an non-gmo organic fermented soy milkshake for the boys. Wow that would be amazing!

I’m all for this plan. I’ve even started a garden at place I currently reside at, in support of this peace plan. There are lettuce, chard, tomatoes, chilli, stevia, egg plant, potato, peanut, green beans, pumpkin and many other plants growing. Now how do I get these world leaders to come visit?

Gloria - Why don’t you send the heads of state a copy of this blog entry?

Beloved One, I don’t want to suggest that you have to become a head of state in order to attract other heads of state. I have a feeling that by your understanding and love for all, it may not even be necessary for the heads of state to your garden. What about photos to post here?

I think there are many blog-readers who would like to visit your garden.

And, yes, I can imagine all the heads of state kneeling in your garden.

You really planted all those beautiful things?! Stevia!

Beloved Jo, I wonder if it wouldn’t be more powerful for
a third party to send a copy to heads of state. I always learned that third party is more powerful than first person.

Where else could this entry be sent as well? Somewhere else to publish? What about the other twelve peace plans. Do they also have merit? How do we do this, even if only one of our entries brought a smile?

I think the peace plans have been evolving. All of them are beautiful. This one is classic! I’m sure it will bring many smiles.

Yes it is powerful when someone spontaneously sends out material because they are moved to. That’s how Russ Michael managed to get Heavenletters: Love Letters from God, into the European market. He was so beautifully moved to rave about it to everyone he knew. Wow, that was so beautiful to watch and I was very touched when I saw his photograph with all you beautiful folk during the German Godwriting workshop.

Yes all those things are planted in the garden and they’re growing. I’m going to be putting more energy into the garden. I want to try bucket growing and using old tyres as containers. One can grow cabbages, potatoes, carrots and even pumpkins from buckets. Just about anything really. If you have a ladder and some muscle power, the buckets can be placed on the roof. I’ll post some pictures when things start to look more edible! The monkey’s ate the sunflowers!

The monkeys ate the sunflowers!

How many of us can say that, Senor? I bet they had a good time, and that you would plant more sunflowers for them.

And yes, that is just how Russ Michael did it. The first I knew of it was when Panos Axiomakaros, the publisher in Greece, came forward!
