Dear Jeannette,
I also believe that money would make things a lot easier for me. We, my husband and I are also strugeling
with finances. I sometimes think what is the worst that could happen. We could go bankrupt. That is the worst that could happen. We could lose our home. We could be homeless. I guess we would still be ourselves and the outer would change for us but deep inside we could still have our connection to God and each other.
We would be ok. You have your sons and your pets. Even if you would have to find temporary homes for your pets you would be ok. Chin up, my dear, and count your many blessings. Love, Nancy

Jeannette,

It would be my pleasure to help you!!! Just visit my website at www.triangleconcierge.com as their is a bunch of information on there that will help you. I also have a book you can buy, which is perhaps the most cost effective way to start this business. You can also visit my "find a concierge" section and go visit some concierge company websites to see how they have set themselves up. Good luck to you!!!

I remembered the name. It's Katharine Giovanni
http://www.katharinegiovanni.com/workshop.htm
Her web site will be valuable.

She lives in North Carolina. That's where I met her. Maybe she'll have something in your area.

I will email her today. (Now I've got to write down today's Heavenletter!)

Jeannette, we have a great subscriber who helps people become concierges. The weirdest thing is I know her name well, I have met her in person, and this very minute I cannot think of her first name. I remember her last name but need her first to look her up in my address book. Her name will come to me soon.

As soon as it does, I will point her to you in this blog and we'll see what she can suggest as an "in" for you in the concierge business. She lives in Pennsylvania.

It seems to me that you have been a concierge in life. Maybe you would jot down all you can think of that you have done that is, in effect, concierging. It doesn't matter that you weren't paid for it or didn't have the tile. What service did you give?

When someone goes to a concierge, what are some of their questions? What might they be asking you? Maybe you would write down these possible questions too.

And do you mind sharing these with us here?

I loved everything you had to say.

And what great sons you have! And what great giving things you are doing.

God bless you a thousand times over.

Thank you Gloria! I will buy the Sunday paper today and do that. What do I love to do?I've self-studied and used homeopathy for family and friends for 15 years now. I love alternative healing methods and the mind-body connection and read many metaphysical books to keep my thoughts positive as well. I've read what you said too and have been thinking about it, then I've connected with some very dear old friends here who helped me to see myself as the person they've known--they tell me I'm the kindest person they've ever known, a great listener, a giver. It was overwhelming when one told me that all of the kindness I've shown to everyone throughout my life would come back to me now when I need it most. I'm so grateful for her for saying that to me. I've always been good at making other people happy. I always thought it was our job to be here and help make others lives easier. I raised my children doing "random acts of kindness" before it became a cliche, I am very proud of that. People still comment how I have two teenagers now 6' 6" and 6' 2" tall, who are so incredibly well-mannered and compassionate. We were a foster family once when we were doing very well and I thought I'd like to bring children in who have "less" and show them what a nice life is and what they could aspire to someday rather than whatever difficult, neglectful situation they were living in at the time. I love the shop! My friends say that I am so good at buying gifts that fit perfectly that they would never have gotten themselves! I spend alot of time and effort trying to imagine what might make them really feel good.

So, I came up with a "concierge". Wouldnt that be a great job for me? Here, in the city, helping people...but it seems they all want "experience" and that there's even some professional organization that concierge's must belong to to get good jobs in the hotels here. So, that is a little disconcerting. I dont know maybe by writing on here, someone will know of something and let me know too. After all, you've already given me some ideas with the paper today. My sons and I are going into the city today. Its a beautiful day here. We have already volunteered and slept overnight this winter in a men's homeless shelter so they could open it for the homeless (they cannot have the shelter open unless several volunteers sleep there to help out), we have also put our names in with a local vet to volunteer to pet and talk to the animals who are there at night after their surgeries or being boarded.

When we couldn't find paying work, we decided to "give" some more and maybe that would open something up. I really always try to do the right thing and help others in life. This is so hard for me right now needing help myself. I'm not good with this part. Appreciate any suggestions further. Love and blessings to all,

Beloved Jeannette, thank you so much for getting back to us.

Sweetheart, I used to help people with job search, and it made all the difference in the world. The difference was how the person felt about herself and what she had to offer. I wish I could work with you, but Heavenletters takes up all my time and energy and then some.

What are you looking for? What do you want? What would you LOVE to do? Will you tell us? And is there a kind of company you would love to work in? I mean something like fashion industry or?

My clients didn't live in NYC. I used to give an assignment, however, to get a city edition of a New York paper and for FUN, nothing else, circle any job that had any appeal to you, even if you were overqualified or not qualified. Just that there is something about the job you'd like.

Jeannette, there is a job you would really like. Someone is going to get it -- why not you, beloved!

I KNOW you will be an excellent worker. The company that gets you will be fortunate indeed.

There is something you said in your comment, angel, that you don't want to say or think. Does this program allow you to edit what you write?

What if you knew you would have a really fine job in two weeks -- what would you change in what you wrote above?

I think you are brave, you have two great sons, and a wonderful family. I know how hard it is getting a divorce and all and starting a new life. I can also tell you about a great many who went through what you are going through. A few years later they were jumping for joy.

Please keep posting often, okay?

I am still trying to get a job. Some days are good, some not so good. My both sons are with me now as well, home from college for the summer and also seeking employment. Who would have thought it would be so incredibly difficult to find jobs in NYC? We are getting discouraged by trying hard to keep each other's spirits high. We have a place to live for now with family and I have been grateful to them for their help during this low point in our lives, and friends as well. Not much else, but at least we have a place and beds to sleep on. A friend paid for me to go to a bookstore and I bought several books on resume's and employment info. I am so grateful for that. Please keep us all in your prayers as its hard moment to moment for us right now. We miss having any security in our lives, but I'm praying for help and support from everywhere to give us a leg up here as we all want to work! ( and we miss our pets unconditional love..pray we have a home and place we all can be together again soon.)
Thank you and hugs,

Beloved Jeannette, please excuse me for taking this long to respond.

Please post a lot to let us know how you're doing. Every day won't be too much, dear one.

Sometimes God does come through with a further message.

What I sense right now is that God is saying that all is well, to give yourself a chance and be easy with everything and know all the goodness that is coming, and not be in a great hurry.

God bless you, dear Jeannette.

Love, Gloria
