Annette Asks God a Personal Question

Wednesday, September 10th, 2008

Annette asks God a personal question through Heavenletters™. Annette, of course, gave us  her permission. to share this:

8-29-08

Annette to God:

Dear God,

Thank You for all Your blessings and for helping me to gain faith and clarity.

I feel I am on the cusp of a big transformation. I have some questions.

Once again, I request clarification about diet. My doctor believes that all disease and degenerative conditions in the body, including aging, are caused and aggravated by yeast and such, all of which everyone has to some degree. (more…)

Favorite Blog Entries

Thursday, June 19th, 2008

What are your favorite Godwriting™ blog entries? Do you have some?

I had the clever idea of choosing ten favorites. I found this was impossible for me to do. One leads to another, and I found I can’t really leave out any of my darlings — with the exception of a few that I might remove.

My absolute favorites (I say modestly) seem to be those that are mostly about me!!!! I also, on occasion, do not mind playing the fool, (more…)

The Cider House Rules

Thursday, February 28th, 2008

One of my favorite movies is The Cider House Rules, starring Michael Caine, Charlize Theron, and Tobey Maguire.

It is based on the book by John Irving, and John Irving also wrote the movie script.

The title is wonderful and significant.

The official tagline and plot for this movie are so off the mark:

Tagline: story about how far we must travel to find the place where we belong.

Plot Outline: compassionate young man, raised in an orphanage and trained to be a doctor there, decides to leave to see the world. (more…)

Jochen Asks God a Question

Tuesday, December 18th, 2007

12-8-07

[Of course, published with permission.]

From Jochen to God:

Dear God,

You will know how difficult it is for me to address you this way. These are words I haven’t used in decades, they were not even in my vocabulary any more. I’d much rather call you “Dear Tree”. Oh, I can relate to that beautiful simile you chose for your Heaven Letter #495 on March 3, 2002, The Engagement of God and Man, having been deeply in love with nature my whole life.

Your Letter of today, #2570 Your Luminescence, December 8, 2007, somehow tells me it is time to write. Over the last days, I have been feeling a growing inspiration to do so; the inspiration seems gone now that I started, but I don’t mind.

There is a kind of mantra going on and on in my head that must be as old as I am, at least I don’t remember its origins. It goes like this: “Nothing is ever going to work out for me. I will always feel as depressed and unhappy as I have always felt and there is no way out, no way out, no way out, not even in death.” (more…)

What a God

Thursday, October 18th, 2007

Our God, what a God He is. He encompasses the Vastness, and He understands all the details in our daily lives, yet He doesn’t waste His time by commiserating with us. He gets right down to it, jumps ahead, runs circles around us, and, all the while, helps us transcend our daily lives. Somehow He makes us want to leap to Heaven with Him and never leave.

God is an amazing Psychologist, don’t you think? And He’s free!

This is this morning’s (October 18, 2007) personal Godwriting, my personal question to God. Why did I imagine I had to write a fancy preamble to it? (more…)

Mike talks to God

Tuesday, July 31st, 2007

With Mike’s permission, of course, and our gratitude, here are Mike’s questions to God and God’s answers and Mike’s responses. Mike asked his questions through Heavenletters. If this had been Mike’s own Godwriting, then this entry would have been called a Heavenpetal. God bless you, Mike.

Michael to God:

Dear God,
I need your help God. I cry everyday hoping you’ll help me but I feel like you’re not there and don’t care. I’m starting to feel maybe there isn’t a God but I don’t want to believe that.

Bizarre Connections

Monday, July 16th, 2007

green-food.jpg

Now I will tell you what happened at the Farmer’s Market last Saturday.

The story begins in Turkey. If you are reading the Heaven Community Forum postings, particularly in the Translators Corner, you know that Engin who lives in Turkey translates Heavenletters into Turkish every day! What a wonderful thing that is.

If you are reading the postings, you also know that there is a dear subscriber to Engin’s Turkish translations who is hostess at The Raj Restaurant right in Fairfield where I live. The hostess of this luxurious spa restaurant is Sule. She is from Turkey, and she is a most beautiful brilliant young woman, and I am thrilled she subscribes. (more…)
