Dates don’t matter

I don’t think in terms of dates. Someone can ask me: “How many years ago was it since such and such happened?” And I have no idea. I may know it was a long time or not so long ago, but years blur for me.

The missing avocado

From my daughter’s view

My daughter Lauren has come to visit me and is seeing my new place for the first time. She is quite a photographer and takes some photos from unusual angles. What you are seeing above is a huge butternut squash that Sylvia, a Godwriter, gave to me from her garden. It is sitting on my coffee table.

What looks  to me like a mirror in the photo above is the doorway to my office. On the far wall, you get a glimpse of the handmade quilt Margaret sent to me and which a good neighbor recently hung for me. (more…)
