Sadness

Thursday, August 27th, 2009

I grew up in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts where the Kennedy’s also grew up. The people in the Boston area, which is Eastern Massachusetts, had a Boston accent. The people in Western Massachusetts where I was born did not have an accent. Yet that accent is very dear to me. (more…)

God bless you, Carmen

Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

In rereading today’s Heavenletter™, #3176, A Weaver of Carpets, I became very aware of the sound of the words and the spell that the sounds of w words in this Heavenletter cast on me. The word woven appears 9 times. Weave, weaves, weaver, weaving collectively appear 28 times — 29 if we include the title — 38 weave/woven words in this Heavenletter.

Never ever have I analyzed a Heavenletter. Ever. I read them. I love them. Some take my breath away. Never would I analyze a Heavenletter. Never did it ever occur to me to do such a thing, but in rereading this one, I saw that the w words were having a definite effect on me. I hesitate to bring this up because I definitely do not want to start a trend of analyzing Heavenletters. (more…)

The Anniversary of My Father’s Death

Thursday, February 5th, 2009

I’m not usually a person who remembers dates. Yet I remember the day of my father’s death the same as I remember the Ides of March and the 4th of July. All year my tears are hidden from me, and then this day looms.

Being Ourselves

Wednesday, January 14th, 2009

Jeff Keller, a longtime Heaven subscriber, was a very successful success motivator. He was called on to give talks and seminars all over the country. He had best-selling books published all over the world. He had a popular inspiring newsletter with thousands of subscribers.

And yet, after many years, what he was doing wasn’t filling his heart any more.

He did what many long to do and haven’t quite yet been able to do. He dropped the past.

He didn’t wait to make a big change in his life until something from the outside made him change.  Jeff made the decision himself and went public and began to share the spiritual path he found himself on.

Jeff  recently posted this poem by e.e. cummings in his newsletter. http://www.YourSpiritualJourney.net

I love e.e.cummings’ poems.

“to be nobody-but-myself in a world

which is doing its best, night and day,

to make me everybody else means

to fight the hardest battle which any human being

can fight, and never stop fighting.”
