Don’t you just love real-live kitchen photos with people in the kitchen and food cooking?

This is Pitta’s kitchen in Italy. Pitta and many of the fabulous Godwriters from the Turin, Italy Godwriting™ workshop are having a holiday get-together.  In Italy, as everywhere, that means food. In Italy, it means pasta! (more…)

This morning I looked up and saw the deer in the front yard again, and I am so touched.

Teeny on Halloween

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

picture-356.jpg

Teeny now lives in an 18th floor studio apartment in Chicago. Teeny has adjusted amazingly from having the run of an acre and a half in a small town to the confinement of an efficiency apartment in a big city. He simply wanted to be with Lauren and was ready to make any sacrifice. EXCEPT maybe to be dressed as Pocahantas for Halloween.

Thursday, September 3rd, 2009

The pet food industry has done such an amazing job of convincing us processed cat and dog food is right for the health of our animal friends that few dog and cat lovers even consider fresh food for their beloved animals. Tuesday, August 11th, 2009

Yesterday, Rusty, the incredibly kind policeman, called me to let me know it was his day off. He was going to play golf out of town, and he would be back by 3:30. He advised me that if my woodchuck happened to go into the live trap in my kitchen before he got back, to call the department, and one of the officers would come out and let the animal go somewhere in the woods. If after 3:30, I should call him — Rusty — on his cell phone, (more…)

The same day as the woodchuck in my house

Monday, August 10th, 2009

That very same day of the woodchuck (Marmota monax) crisis, Dianita came over to help me get organized in the house, so Dianita was in on some of the police visits. She definitely observed the gun demonstrations.

Dianita helped me with the house tremendously.  She “made” me put into the office clothes closet exclusively what I am taking with me. This, of course, meant removing from the closet everything I’m not taking with me. We did it — with the exception of a few undecideds.

And so we (more…)

Two new Heavenletters this morning

Thursday, August 6th, 2009

God sent us two new Heavenletters this morning.  I wrote down the first one as I do every morning. For a minute or so, I thought I was done. And then a second Heavenletter announced itself and pushed its way in. And very welcome, it was, too.

These two Heavenletters wrote themselves very fast. And I was, if you will forgive the expression, in bliss. (more…)
