Thanksgiving at Sherry’s

Sunday, November 27th, 2011

Sherry has been instrumental in Lauren’s life in Chicago. Lauren, my daughter, has her wonderful job because Sherry was out having foot surgery, and that’s when Lauren filled in as a temp and later became a permanent legal assistant. Sherry has worked at the company for fifteen years and creates harmony. Besides that, Sherry is a caring friend and FUN!

Here is a photo (left to right) of me and Sherry. That’s the rear of Chloe in the background.

Monday, January 3rd, 2011

How could 2011 begin with computer difficulties again. How could it. I saw this as not a good sign.

I won’t go into all the details, but the least of the difficulties was that my mouse wouldn’t work. No mouse, no usable computer.  (more…)

bus.jpg

God in Heavenletters™ always tells us to point out the good. In that case, I have to tell you about Chicago’s buses. I’ll start with tonight — New Year’s Eve.

Because Chicago wants the streets safe on New Year’s Eve, they are being absolutely wonderful, and I love them. They are not “cracking down” on drivers who drink. Instead everyone (more…)
