To be seen as we are

Friday, December 9th, 2011

You know from earlier blog entries, how it’s not comfortable when a Heavenreader who does not know me at all and credits me with too much. Heavenletters™ are admittedly wonderful, and I have the blessing of being able to type them up — that’s it. This is an unexpected gift that came to me, and it is for me to step aside and let the One Who deserves the praise receive it. God has said not to over-endow anyone. That is for the sake of the one who over-endows as well as the one over-endowed. I’m wondering if it over-endowing or just too limiting, actually.

If I personally should write a story or a poem, wow, send me the plaudits. Even though it is God Who does everything, I would have put a lot into it and would not then feel like an imposter. (more…)

Lovely

Friday, December 9th, 2011

I’ve noticed that lovely is a word used here a lot! And I can understand why. Just being here in South Africa is lovely. Being in this house where Uncle Arnand makes us so welcome is lovely. I want to tell you more about Arnand.

He and Heaven Admin are very much alike so when I describe Arnand, I am also describing Heaven Admin. (more…)

But the third time is a charm, isn’t it? It is, isn’t it?

Thanksgiving at Sherry’s

Sunday, November 27th, 2011

Sherry has been instrumental in Lauren’s life in Chicago. Lauren, my daughter, has her wonderful job because Sherry was out having foot surgery, and that’s when Lauren filled in as a temp and later became a permanent legal assistant. Sherry has worked at the company for fifteen years and creates harmony. Besides that, Sherry is a caring friend and FUN!

Here is a photo (left to right) of me and Sherry. That’s the rear of Chloe in the background.

Giving isn’t always more divine than receiving 2

Saturday, September 3rd, 2011

In Russia where my mother, at the age of four washed clothes in the river to earn money for the family, life was hard, and my mother did not have much experience in receiving.

I also believe it was a custom back then to refuse something when you were first offered. Some kind of good manners in those times in Russia.
